I had a fantastic morning on the Roman Blind making course. Very informative for a complete novice like myself. My mum also came with me and she has some experience of making soft furnishings but also found the morning extremely useful. Really is a great course to do for all abilities. Judi is an excellent teacher and although it is a group activity it really does feel like one to one tuition. We will be back for a curtain making course, thank you Judi
As a complete Novice I was a little apprehensive but everything was explained and there was no pressure. Very pleased with what I achieved. Instruction paperwork to bring home will be most helpful. Thank you.
Terrified at first to make blinds but the course went at an easy pace and gradually I started to see the picture of how to make them. The tutor was very patient and happy to answer any questions. I left there feeling very happy that now I could make a roman blind.
Response from Sew Make it:
So pleased Jill that you were able to relax and enjoy making your sample blind. It's not too scary after all is it? I'm sure the notes and easy calculation methods will help you when you make your own blind at home too. Would love to see any photos. Thanks so much for the feedback. JudiBefore attending - I did not think we would be able to make a blind in the time - but in fact we did!
Judi was very patient and helped everyone.
A really good day with great tips and notes to take away.
I'm looking out for the next courses to sign up to.
Thank you.
Response from Sew Make it:
Thanks for the feedback Karen, really glad you enjoyed the day. Looking forward to seeing photos of your new blinds! New course dates coming soon.... JudiI love Judi's workshops. I recently did the blinds course and although I have made them before, Judi gave lots of tips and really practical useful information to help with the whole process. I would highly recommend regardless of your level of skill but think confident beginners would learn lots.
Response from Sew Make it:
Thank you Maxine, it was lovely to see you again and hope that the tips will come in handy for your next blind making project :) JudiReally happy with this course. It completely delivered what it promised and more. Judi was a great teacher and a lot of fun. She went out of her way to adapt the course for my wants and take me through all that I needed very patiently. I like the zoom 1-2-1 in these times and pleased that it worked so well. I'll be looking for more like this, and definitely more from Judi. Thank you.
I really enjoyed the workshop yesterday, it was well worth the distance travelled. You are very good at teaching and explaining how to make the blinds. I felt very confident when I left that I would be capable of making the blinds on my own at home. Which hasn't always been the case when I've done previous workshops elsewhere. I wouldn't hesitate to do another one of your workshops. I found your workshop on craft courses and was so happy I did.
Excellent workshop, all very clear and well explained
Thank you very much for the relaxed and informative roman blind Workshop. It was really helpful to do this in a practical setting and your demonstrations, explanations, hints and tips were most welcome.

I’ll be arranging another sewing course with Judi again soon!
Attended the Roman blind workshop and thoroughly enjoyed it. A nice small group with plenty of relaxed time to work at ones own pace and for Judi to give each one ample time to explain things. Came away with completed project and clear printed instructions . I’m looking forward to trying another course . Thank you .

I normally use my machine for quilting & have never done any dressmaking. This was a superb workshop, everything was explained carefully & Judi seemed to know exactly when one of us needed some extra help. I had never put in a zip or made a buttonhole but I now feel confident to tackle both & will certainly enrol on more of Judi's courses.
Lovely small classes, easy to follow , very patient teacher, would certainly look to be attending further classes.

Simply all it should be. Lovely location, easy access from motorway, small group, very clear instruction from Julie at a pace which suited all, one stage at a time. Judi had time to assist everyone when they needed it. She is a very good tutor. We finished 2 zip bags on the day, most other workshops I've gone to need the work to be finished as home. I will definitely keep an eye out for more workshops.
