'Stitching With Liz & Helen' is a collaboration between two Royal School of Needlework tutors, Liz Tapper & Helen Jones, to bring the art of needlework to Exeter. We aim to provide classes in a range of techniques and for varying skill levels. Please do get in touch if there's a particular course you would like to see listed. Hardanger is a counted whitework technique traditionally worked on white evenweave fabric with white perle threads. It produces sculptural, geometric patterns by cutting and drawing some threads and embellishing others. Please note: the design worked will be a simple bookmark, not the design shown above. Suitable for beginners to the technique. The class kit, the cost of which is payable on the day and likely to be approx. £25, will include everything you require to complete the project. You will need to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames on the day. Please bring a magnifier and light (if needed). This class will run from 10am-4pm at Exeter Community Centre, 17 St. David's Hill, Exeter EX4 3RG.
