Great relaxing atmosphere to pick up a new hobby.
Started going regularly for a year but unfortunately have moved now. Have made some wonderful gifts, Xmas decorations, bowls, pots and incense burners. Great teaching support from Lou and introduction to using a wheel.
I look forward to my pottery class all week. Poppy Rose is an excellent venue for all things pottery. I was a total beginner and now I feel more confident to express myself while doing what I love. Louise is an excellent teacher and the atmosphere in class is great.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have been attending the pottery sessions for over a yr now. I am thoroughly enjoying the sessions. Lou( teacher) provides a very friendly atmosphere and gives us one to one attention every wk. The classes are in small groups and is very relaxed. I started with pinch pot bowls and have made various pieces including a clock, Christmas decorations and a teapot😊
I highly recommend these classes for anyone who is interested in making crafts
Poppy Rose offers a great friendly setting. Classes are very motivational, fun and productive. Louise is keen to help you achieve your goal and appreciates all her students' work. This class is suitable for both beginners and experienced potters.
I had absolutely no experience of pottery whatsoever; I received an introductory voucher as a Christmas gift in 2016 and I have kept the weekly classes up since then.
The classes are relaxed and friendly but very educational. Louise teaches many techniques and provides all the tools and materials one needs. Self expression is encouraged but Louise is always on hand to offer suggestions for new projects.
I love these classes and would encourage any one to join the group whether experienced or beginner.
I absolutely loved this course. I went for a taster course with my father and we really enjoyed the experience. Louise allowed us to use the wheel which we were very pleased with and gave us brilliant advise and instructions. It was a very relaxed environment and we were able to use our own creativity throughout the lesson. I would highly recommend this to everybody- no matter how skilled in pottery they are.
I love going to this pottery class and it's the highlight of my week. The 2 hours pass too quickly. Louise is brilliant and helps with ideas and teaches you the skills of pottery, one to one, in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. She is always interested and encouraging in whatever project you are on with. There is a lot of equipment and different tools available to use and Louise has her own kiln for the firing. I'm so glad my friend introduced me to pottery, with Louise and her lovely Mam, Ann, at Poppy Rose!
Very friendly, good instructions and Louise is extremely supportive and helpful. I am very pleased with the items I have made. I was very unsure of my skills but Louise has encouraged me and made sure she is there to give advice whenever it has been required. I would highly recommend this course and will keep going.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with a few simple guidance lessons you'll be off and running, great fun meeting new people, lou and Ann are are very informative and helpful. Just what I needed to break up my day
I have been coming to this pottery class for about a year now . Great company , lots of encouragement from Lou our fantastic tutor. I have made some lovely pots and had a few disasters but l love every minute.
I have been attending pottery classes at Poppy Rose nearly every week for over a year .I originally only signed up for a 4 week course!!!Lou is an excellent teacher, very helpful and patient.I've learnt tons of new pottery skills! I'd advise everyone to come along and try it !! You'll be hooked :)
I originally signed up for a 4 week class last June but I am still going nearly a year later, which tells you how great this course is. I have made so many amazing things that I would never have thought I could do - vases, decorations, tea light holders, little pots made on the wheel to name just a few - as Lou is so patient and helpful. I can't recommend this enough :-)
Have been attending one of these classes since last year . Classes are small and very friendly so there is plenty of time for tutor to help with projects. Lou (tutor) creates a relaxed atmosphere and brings a lot of knowledge & experience.
