Louise was a brilliant teacher and really friendly. Had a fantastic time, great experience and well worth the money! Hoping to do it all again, even willing to travel the hour and a bit to do it. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Response from PoppyRose:Hi Anna & Andrea, Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was a pleasure to have you both on the taster and you both produced fabulous pots! Very well done, and thanks for your support of PoppyRose. Hope to see you again, Louise
Poppy Rose pottery classes are great! Beginners to experienced potters and everyone in between will learn new skills and techniques, be inspired and take home their creations. Classes are small, relaxed and fun and Lou is a helpful, encouraging tutor and ... is a Top Potter :)
I’ve also enjoyed felting classes and quilting at Poppy Rose .Get involved!

Booked the pottery class as a gift for my Mums 60th birthday - great fun, a bargain, and Louise was a great tutor! Using the wheel was definitely a challenge but worth it - we made 2 pots each and returned to paint them. There was a large selection of unusual colours to choose from and they turned out fab as a first attempt - very pleased! The shop was filled with lots of interesting crafts - we’ll definitely be back to have a go at something else x

Louise has the gift of inspiring you to create and develop your own skill at your own pace and create beautiful and interesting pottery in your own individual way. The environment is relaxing and friendly. I can highly recommend this class at any level and to anyone as Louise pays everyone individual attention to match their own aspirations.

Louise's classes are educative without failing to be good fun. Louise is patient and she can give you ideas on projects to carry out or will guide independent ideas. She harnesses the student's own creativity and problem solving skills interjecting only where necessary.
The classes provide a relaxing environment for the students to 'bounce' ideas off one another. I personally am not very 'arty' but have produced beautiful slab work from trinket dishes to decorative bowls and plates.
Whether it is sculpting or the wheel you fancy 'Poppy Rose' is definitely the right place for you.

I had absolutely no experience of pottery whatsoever; I received an introductory voucher as a Christmas gift in 2016 and I have kept the weekly classes up since then.
The classes are relaxed and friendly but very educational. Louise teaches many techniques and provides all the tools and materials one needs. Self expression is encouraged but Louise is always on hand to offer suggestions for new projects.
I love these classes and would encourage any one to join the group whether experienced or beginner.

I absolutely loved this course. I went for a taster course with my father and we really enjoyed the experience. Louise allowed us to use the wheel which we were very pleased with and gave us brilliant advise and instructions. It was a very relaxed environment and we were able to use our own creativity throughout the lesson. I would highly recommend this to everybody- no matter how skilled in pottery they are.

I love going to this pottery class and it's the highlight of my week. The 2 hours pass too quickly. Louise is brilliant and helps with ideas and teaches you the skills of pottery, one to one, in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. She is always interested and encouraging in whatever project you are on with. There is a lot of equipment and different tools available to use and Louise has her own kiln for the firing. I'm so glad my friend introduced me to pottery, with Louise and her lovely Mam, Ann, at Poppy Rose!

Very friendly, good instructions and Louise is extremely supportive and helpful. I am very pleased with the items I have made. I was very unsure of my skills but Louise has encouraged me and made sure she is there to give advice whenever it has been required. I would highly recommend this course and will keep going.

I originally signed up for a 4 week class last June but I am still going nearly a year later, which tells you how great this course is. I have made so many amazing things that I would never have thought I could do - vases, decorations, tea light holders, little pots made on the wheel to name just a few - as Lou is so patient and helpful. I can't recommend this enough :-)
