Description

One to one ceramic workshops with Kate Schuricht in her Kent studio. The workshops cover a variety of techniques including slipcasting, press moulding, hand building and decoration. Glazing sessions can also be arranged as a follow up or a stand alone session. The one to one workshops are tailor made to each student's particular needs, so they are ideal for students wishing to deepen their knowledge and understanding of specific areas. Kate will discuss requirements with the student before putting together a bespoke studio day and send a lesson plan in advance. The one to one sessions make a great birthday, Christmas or wedding present for budding ceramic artists and potters. A half day session is also available, please see my other listings to book.

Maker

I graduated from a degree in Ceramics & 3D design at Brighton University in 1996 and I have been working in clay ever since. I specialise in raku and stoneware ceramics. I have over 20 years experience in teaching small groups, masterclasses and one-to-one courses. I love introducing students to clay, as well as helping artists to translate their ideas into a new material. My workshops allow students to learn a wide range of new techniques and approach clay in a creative and experimental way.
