Create your own miniature plant pots with artist and maker Kim Searle using a variety of geometric and recycled moulds.
Jesmonite was named material of the year 2017, have a go and see why! It's a versatile material that will create a different pot every time - you'll learn how to weigh it, mix it, add colours and textural effects to create a pot unique to you.
Pots can be made with pale pastels or vibrant colours, block colours or fantastic marbled effects.
You will get to try a type of Jesmonite that will set by the end of the session as well as another type that will set the next day and has a much more organic look. There will be a variety of plant cuttings that you can add to your new set pots!
The workshop will take place at The Craft Barn, a beautiful and airy space in Hadfield!
The room we'll be in is up a flight of stairs so is sadly not wheelchair accessible however if this is an issue let me know in advance and I'll see if we can move downstairs.
The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All materials are included in the fee, as well as small plants and tealights.
