About the Course
What better time could there be to learn how to transform your home on a shoe string budget.
This jam packed online course (via live video tutorials) gives you all the inspiration and tools you need to design your home, using what you already have, creating the right environment to help you feel good and save money-
all of which are essential in this current climate!
Lucy has adapted her 5 star, full day course which she runs from her studio in Derbyshire, into this online version to make it more accessible to everyone at this time, and to give students something positive to focus on ultimately helping with their well being.
Royal college of Art Graduate and platinum award winner Lucy Renshaw, has 16 years experience in Interior Design, Decor and Colour.
Lucy is a design consultant and runs various workshops, in interiors, upholstery, colour and wellbeing from her 17th Century colourful home in the idyllic Derbyshire Dales.
This online course will run via the software Zoom, where you will receive a link via email, and is very straight forward to use on a desktop, laptop or Ipad. There will be an introduction 10 minute meeting before the course starts to iron out any technical problems.
You can choose whether you do 1 hour per day for 5 days (Start date Monday 27th April-10am-11am) or 1 hour per week for 5 weeks (Start date Monday 4th May 3pm-4pm)
Minimum 3 students per meeting, where you will virtually meet other students, share ideas, conversations and get to know a like minded community.
Interior Decor and Design:
An inspirational 5 hours, mixing both theory and practical activities, to inspire and find your inner style! You will be told what you need for each session, nothing new is needed, all can be achieved with items you may already have. Lucy will post out a colour wheel before the first session.
Whether you are looking to re-design your home, interested in a new hobby, or simply now have the time to be creative....
This is a jam packed course, covering: Finding your style, Color theory, Colour Schemes, Mood boards, pattern and texture, money saving tips and using what we already have, and working to discover your own style.
There is also the chance to do a further 6 hours covering: Plans, space design, scale drawing, layout, lighting design and aesthetics.
This course is a way to get to know Lucy, her quirky and colourful personality makes for an informal and relaxed course whilst at the same time being hugely informative and your'll go away feeling greatly inspired.
Students will learn:
-A colour wheel, with knowledge of how to use it.
-Why colour is so important.
-Colour Schemes and palettes.
-Painted colour swatches, colour mixing and creating new palettes.
-Mood board concepts and images.
-Finding your unique style.
-Knowledge of how to use Pattern and Texture, with lots of practical examples.
-All theory and practical tasks aim to use things we already have, or are easy and cheap to get hold of.
There will be time time between each tutorial to work on tasks and collect the things you will need for the next session.
