I have just attended Sarah's 2-day workshop on traditional lampshade making and can thoroughly recommend it. I wasn't sure what to expect, being a complete novice, and might have been a bit daunted if I had known. But Sarah led us calmly through all the stages and, miraculously, everything worked, including getting a rectangular piece of fabric onto a shaped shade with no creases! Sarah was very generous with her tips and information and imparted a wealth of knowledge. The results were lovely and we all finished feeling inspired to have a go on our own.

I had a fabulous weekend with Sarah learning to make a lampshade. Sarah was very informative and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. She took us through step by step and everything was very well explained. No question was a silly question and Sarah made everyone feel so welcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sarah and I can’t wait to return to continue with my learning.

I first met Sarah when she upholstered a chair for me and was impressed by her professionalism. She is a really good teacher, has endless patience and the ability to convey knowledge in an understandable way. The two days were great fun and I felt the lampshade I left with was a really good standard. The lovely lunches and coffee breaks added to my enjoyment of this course.
