About the Course
This hot glass bead making workshop is offered for complete beginners and will cover all lampwork techniques used in creating beautiful and stylish glass beads from scratch.
Dates are flexible - please get in touch with Pauline.
Many people find that the one day course is not really enough and that taking both days together is a benefit (once you get a taste you are hooked!) so we do a special price of £290 for 2 days.
Day one will cover:
Getting to know the tools and equipment and understanding glass
Getting the feel of glass by making stringers and teardrops for earrings and pendants
Making a simple bead (this is normally accomplished by lunchtime)
Simple and colourful decoration techniques
Making different shaped glass beads
More intricate designs and patterns
Encasing the beads with clear glass
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. The voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All tools and materials are covered in the course and the price also includes collection from Aylesbury Station (If required) and a lovely lunch!
2 fantastic days spent learning the ways of lampworking, from basic pendants and stringers to fancy patterned beads and twisty earrings and even a pair of glass hedgehogs!
Pauline is a great teacher and I have learnt so much from her in just 2 lessons and a lot of fun along the way! Highly recommended course for anyone interested in lampworking.
