Felting in the Field- Make a pair of wet-felted slippers that fit you perfectly

X

Description

Here is an opportunity to get really messy with fluff! A fun approach to wet felting, you will learn how to make a pair of lovely felted slippers by using your own feet as the mould. After carding the wool and learning the basics of wet-felting, you will choose your favourite colours to wrap around your feet to start making your slippers. Once the wool is prepared, we will put our fluffy feet into wellies and go for a walk around the field for an hour. Jumping, stomping, walking and hopping will all help the fibres to felt together. After this funny process we will see how our slippers have worked and touch up any bits that need it.

This is a perfect activity for birthdays/celebrations/hen dos that involve a lot of laughter as well as being creative.

You will need to bring a pair of wellies (ideally a pair that are a bit on the big side for you).
