Rembrandt had just three techniques for printmaking: dry point, hard ground and soft ground. We now have around 20 techniques which can be used in combination. These include lift grounds, photo etching and transfers. This course focuses on individual support and development: to present possibilities, to progress your plans and your personal and professional objectives.
There is no time limit set on projects and this allows you to work to a point of confidence in the development of work and to have safe working practices. The course is student centred with projects available if required. Students are encouraged to contribute work to the WMC exhibitions.
The studio is equipped with a full range of etching relief printing areas to allow you to work with line etching (soft and hard ground), aquatint, colour printing, photo etching, Chin Colle and relief printing.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
