About the Course
Join ceramic artist Kate Schuricht in the idyllic East Sussex setting of The Hub, near Bodiam Castle for a three hour workshop imprinting found objects, letters and natural materials into clay. Make decorative tiles, hangings and plaques using your own found objects or the fabrics and materials supplied on the day. You can also try your hand at pressing leaves, lace and flowers into porcelain paper clay to discover its wonderful translucent properties. All work will be fired and returned to The Hub for collection. Optional glazing sessions will be run at a later date. All abilities welcome. Why not make a day of it and book a ride on the KESR steam trains or visit Bodiam Castle as well?
Workshop would especially suit beginners and intermediate level as well as artists working in another medium looking to explore clay.
