What an inspiring day I had. Curiosity made me book this course and I wasn’t disappointed. Kate was a discreet yet very supportive coach. The group was keen and interactive. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are waiting impatiently to see the fired result of my inspiration. Thank you, Kate.
Response from Kate Schuricht Ceramics:Thanks, Barbara. It was great to see you working away so busily and to see you so engaged! The result was some fantastic pieces and I am looking forward to sharing the results with you soon, possibly at a follow up glazing session. I am just waiting to hear about dates.....
Kate made us very welcome in her charming studio. Despite my lack of experience - or just call me a beginner - Kate made me feel very comfortable. Everyone can work in his and her own pace, without any pressure but a lot of patience. There’s plenty of material to experience with and to succeed in the end. Since I live further away, Kate is so nice to post my work after she has fired it. What a nice day we had!
Response from Kate Schuricht Ceramics:Thank you, Ute. I really enjoyed seeing your ideas develop as you explored the techniques over the course of the day. You really used the resources well and made some lovely pieces. They are being fired tonight and so will be sent on to you after glazing!
It couldn't be more perfect! Thanks to Kate we spent a creative day in most charming setting - all COVID-save surrounded by inspiring materials.
We had the space to indulge in our little projects but also share ideas with our extremly nice participants. Thank you Kate!
Response from Kate Schuricht Ceramics:I am so pleased that you enjoyed the workshop. The Cowshed setting is really special and adds some extra inspiration to the day. I really enjoy teaching there.
What a fabulous way to spend the day! We had endless fun being creative with clay tiles in whatever shapes and sizes we chose. There were plenty of resources! We also used porcelain clay. Kate is then going to fire them so I can’t wait to see the finished pieces. It takes place in a magical part of the country too. So don’t hesitate in signing up!
Response from Kate Schuricht Ceramics:It was such a lovely day and it was inspiring to see all the beautiful, graphic ideas you came up with. Your wood block type was a great addition to the resources, so thank you for sharing those with the students. The tiles are now being fired, so it won't be long before you can decide on how you want them glazed. I will send you some photos soon......
