Either bring the whole family down to the Red House Glass Cone for some family time together, or bring templates of their hands to make this keepsake, which doubles up as a practical fruit bowl.
In this workshop, you'll be working with earthenware clay and you'll be taught how to use a slab roller/rolling pin and rubber/wooden stamps to decorate your individual handprints.
Once you've finished making your bowl, leave it with Saz to fire. It'll be ready for collection in approximately 2 weeks' time (it's best to phone ahead and check!) and you can glaze it or get Saz to do it for you for a further £10.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All use of pottery tools and equipment, aprons, clay and firing costs are included in the price.
Refreshments will be provided during the workshop, and there's the Red Cone Coffee House just next door if you'd like to order a delicious lunch or treat yourselves to a slice of cake or award winning ice cream after all your 'hard' work making your fruit bowl!
If you'd prefer to bring a packed lunch, it's lovely to sit at our picnic tables by the canal and watch the world go by - weather permitting, of course!
2½ hours (flexible times to suit)

We had a wonderful time creating out family hand bowl. Sarah explained clearly and took us through all the steps. Everything was ready for us and Sarah made it fun as well as easy to do.
She was wonderful with our 2 year old, who really enjoyed joining in. Sarah is a great teacher and makes you feel a great sense of achievement.
The bowl is beautiful and has pride of place in our home.
We have also painted in her studio too, which is always brilliant fun for all of us.
Thank you Sarah. We are looking forward to our next creation.
