"An amazing workshop. My daughter and I both designed and printed our own Christmas cards under the guidance of Diana. It was a lovely creative afternoon and we took home something we are really proud of. I can highly recommend and we will definitely be doing this again. Diana made delicious homemade mulled wine and mince pies to add to the Christmassy feel."

Nadia reviewed: Knitting for Beginners

"I used to knit when I was at school but I had forgotten everything. So this course was perfect for me as I could go right back to basics. I quickly remembered why I used to enjoy knitting so much. It's really relaxing and I have found myself knitting in front of the TV and on the train. I really love it! Knithub 24 is a great school - it's in a good location and the teachers are really nice. I will practice my new skills a bit more and then go back for the intermediate level. If you're thinking about learning to knit, just go for it!"

Knithub 24 responded:

"Great to meet and teach you, Nadia! Keep practising your knitting and we hope to see you again soon :)"

Diana Hargreaves reviewed: Mosaic/Chat/Create! with professional mosaicist Emma Abel

"Emma is an excellent teacher and a superb mosaicist - her body of work is breathtaking and such an inspiration to a novice like me. I have done two workshops now and am signed up to a weekend in January. It is indeed addictive! The workshop is a creative space with an extensive range of scrumptious materials. Most importantly, however, Emma imparts her expertise with precision and patience and is clearly passionate about her craft. I am thrilled with my two ‘masterpieces’, especially with the second - a special 70th birthday present for my friend, the design of which was enhanced by Emma’s eye for detail. I would highly recommend anyone giving mosaics a go with Emma."

abelmosaics responded:

"Thank you Diana, your comments are much appreciated and it is a pleasure helping you achieve your very creative mosaics! Before the next workshop, think about your preferred Fish species/shape/colour eg you may not want a Barracuda in your Bathroom .... ?"

Loretta reviewed: Beaded flower fairy workshops

"What a brilliant way to spend an evening! Having done a 1:1 fairy making session with Scarlet, and seeing how much amazing stuff (flowers, beads, fairies etc) she has in her workshop, I did wonder how it would work in a group setting at someone else's house but it was brilliant! She and her trusty helper (Patrizia) turned up and transformed an area in to fairy heaven. 6 of us did the workshop and everyone absolutely loved it - varying ages and varying abilities from totally useless to I have a bit of a clue .... But we all came out with very beautiful and unique fairies. (Scarlet also had some fairies we could buy as gifts - great for xmas.) If you're thinking about having a fairy workshop, go for it!! Just one word of advice, if you're providing nibbles etc for your guests, get them to arrive early and have it cos once you start, you don't want greasy hands or any food etc on the table. Thanks for a fab evening Scarlet. See you soon. Hugs ... Loretta xx"

Scarlets Fairy Folk responded:

"Thank you so much Loretta for that beautiful review and you are very welcome and especially the tip about party nibbles. We love to do fairy making parties at peoples own venues. So happy to hear you "All" had fun and enjoyed the workshop, I know we did, it was a good giggle with a lovely bunch of ladies and yes you all made totally unique flower fairies and every one of them was beautiful. See you again in the new year for your Silver Jewellery Workshop, I know you will be fabulous..xx"

Diane McCormick reviewed: Felt Pictures-Painting with fibres - intro to 2D wet felting/felt making

"A very good introduction to 2D wet felting with a finished personal felt creation to take away at the end of the afternoon. The venue was handy for Denmark Hill train station and Heather provided a cuppa and delicious cake. The small group size of 4 allowed for individual help when required and Heather kept an eye on the time and gently moved us through the different stages so we all completed our pieces. No matter what subject, there was a rainbow of coloured wool to choose from or to blend to produce the right shade. We learned extra on how effects could be achieved from observation of other students‘ pieces. Heather answered all my questions promptly before and after the workshop. For those few hours of the workshop I was totally absorbed in the process and the whole experience was a pleasure. Thank you"

Richard Pettman reviewed: Learn to carve wooden spoons, beginners and improvers

"What a fantastic day! Dave took us through the whole process to carve a spoon from chopping the billet from a log right through to how to finish the spoon with oil and paint, with a little diversion into how to care for and sharpen the tools along the way. Then we were let loose with a billet of wood, axe and knife. Dave guided us all the way with safety being the number one priority and by the end of the afternoon we had all made a fantastic spoon and a spreader knife. I would thoroughly recommend Dave's course to anyone who fancies a go at carving a spoon."

Finally, love my "masterpiece". Highly recommended. Thank you, Julie"

David Glennon reviewed: Two day stone carving course at Chillington Hall

"I have been going to Miranda’s stone carving classes for a number of years as I had a wish to do something creative using my hands. Miranda’s an excellent teacher giving advice and guidance but the final decision is yours and is reflected in your work. The choice of what to carve is yours with Miranda encouraging you to explore your artistic capability. It is a very friendly, sociable group who are supportive of each other’s work. If you want to explore something different, want to be creative, then do come to Miranda’s stone carving classes."

Julia reviewed: Georgie's needle felting animals

"Looking through this website I came across Georgie's needle-felting courses. I attended a course just before Christmas 2018 and came away with a sweet little ballerina mouse, with enormous ears. (My choice!) It was the first time I had done needle-felting but everything was provided, including clear instruction, great encouragement and lovely coffee and cake. Such a lovely morning. I really love my little mouse and am so pleased that Georgie is doing more courses - can't wait to sign up for my next one!"

Georgies Felted Friends responded:

"Thank you very much for your message Julia and I’m so glad you enjoyed my Needle Felting course last year. Do let me know if you would like to make a friend for your beautiful little ballerina mouse and join another course. Kind regards Georgie"

Genny L. Blandford reviewed: Private contemporary encaustic wax workshop with Lyn

""I have just spent a wonderful morning with Lyn in her studio on Portland. Lyn's studio is in a great location and the welcome she gave was so warm and motivating. There was an impressive and unlimited collection of pigments and materials at my disposal. Added to which, Lyn's enthusiasm for encaustic art and her willingness to share her skills, made for a really worthwhile experience. Lyn was intuitive about when I needed her at my side to demonstrate and make suggestions, and when I needed to test out the waxes on my own. Now I have tried encaustic art for the first time, I shall definitely return for another session. Highly recommended!""
