"I booked this for my daughter's art project. Bill tailored it really well for her with some great personalised communication beforehand about what would suit. We had a lovely afternoon on a stunning sunny Polzeath beach. They accomplished quite a few pieces of lovely varied art. Made for great photography too."

Dave Allport reviewed: Green wood stool making weekend

"This was my second course for stool making with Rushmore Farm organised by George. I really enjoyed the experience first time round and was able to share the weekend this time with my adult son so he is also the proud owner of a green wood stool. The course didn’t disappoint us. We were well tutored by Ivan who guided us through the various stages of the construction offering assistance when needed. A creditable stool can be achieved with little or no previous experience. Daily lunch was transported to the site in the woods by chef Mark who cooked the delicious meals too. Our accommodation was a yurt adjacent to the working area in the wood. It was clean tidy and certainly warm. We spent the evening sitting around the campfire on the Saturday night with a glass of wine. Perfect! As I reviewed before a great ‘get away’ weekend with a lovely result to take home afterwards. Highly recommended. Thanks yet again."

Rushmere Farm Workshops responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely words. We enjoyed the weekend very much and look forward to seeing you again soon."

Richard & Heather Andrew reviewed: Weekend landscape painting in watercolours

"Arriving as complete beginners, Georgina quickly put us at ease. Throughout the course, she was extremely encouraging and explained techniques and thought processes very clearly. By the end, we had produced watercolour paintings that we were proud of and knew how to further improve, indeed; we're already painting new landscapes now we're back home. The course seemed to fly by and we're looking forward to a return visit in the future."

Georgina Rambton responded:

"Thank you Heather, it was an absolute pleasure to have you both on the weekend course and I am so pleased that you enjoyed it and got so much out of it."

"An enormously satisfying and relaxed few days that resulted in a real sense of pride. Sebastian has a perfect hands off style, providing just enough guidance when required to allow you to explore and have fun with your work, with a real passion and knowledge that's infectious. Even if you hate stones you'll still have a lovely few days"

Alex Harris reviewed: Make a Welsh stick chair

"Ben is an excellent teacher and his immense knowledge allows him to answer all questions, help with any problems and teach anyone to construct an incredibly complicated chair! I had a memorable week and though it was hard work, I had an incredible time and I’m proud of my achievements and my lovely chair! I’d recommend this course to anyone, I’ve learnt so much and met loads of nice people and worked in a lovely setting. Somehow it was exhausting and relaxing at the same time."

Niki Graske reviewed: Charm bracelet workshop

"Pat’s charm bracelet making course was first-class! Booking was easy, communications were simple and the teaching was very professional. There was a huge range of beads to choose from and the tools provided were of excellent quality. Pat took the time to check our jewellery too to ensure that it was secure and wasn’t going to come undone. Her knowledge of trouble shooting was excellent and was very patient if we got it wrong!! And the icing on the cake… was the home-baking - I’d book in again just to experience the cakes & cookies ?"

Pat Miller Jewellery responded:

"Thanks Niki! So glad you enjoyed the course, your bracelet and earrings were beautiful."

Tanya reviewed: Learn to crochet with Country Garden workshop

"I had a lovely time on this course, learning the basic stitches of crochet in Natalie's wonderful garden studio! Natalie is an excellent tutor, giving a mix of group tutorial and one to one support throughout the morning. She also provided excellent coffee and delicious cake! I feel I have definitely learnt the key basics of crochet and managed to produce some reasonable crochet attempts! Thank you to Natalie, and also the other 7 people in my class, who made this experience such a great one! I would definitely recommend this course to those interested in starting off in crochet."

Rachael reviewed: Scrap glass mosaic workshop (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"We had a great day and were so pleased with the end results - I have already booked another workshop! Kate's instructions and demonstrations were clear and she was very patient. A real strength was the opportunity to be creative and have the freedom to get on with the activity with Kate's support rather than being confined to a set pattern. The workshop was so well resourced and set up for classes, which again meant that we could get the most out of the session as opposed to having to wait and share equipment as is too often the case with workshops. Thank you very much."

"Outstanding course. Very roomy workshop which was well-organised for students. More than adequate supplies of safety equipment. Fantastic welding masks. Tutor is massively knowledgeable and experienced but manages to give clear and easy to follow instructions and demonstrations. I was amazed that we, as complete beginners, were welding within an hour and a half of arriving. Excellent range of kit to try. We came home really delighted and keen to have another go. Suitable for all ages"

thekitschsidekick reviewed: Experience the Japanese art of raku using fire and flame

"Had a lovely day (lucky with the weather which helped!) and produced 3 fabulous pieces. Janet, Suzanne and Allan are incredibly experienced and this comes across. They had thrown and fired a wonderful selection of vases, bowls and vessels which we got to pick from and everyone got a mix. Garden environment was pretty, quiet and serene. Only small suggestions for improvements: 1. samples for the glazes as there was a good deal of crossing fingers, 2. rushed to glaze but could have taken longer on 2nd and 3rd pieces while 1st was firing but didn't know, 3. bit more selection on lunch Regardless, worth the money, fab day."

Gone To Pot Ceramics responded:

"Thank you for your kind review, glad you enjoyed the day."

Gaynor Pharoah reviewed: Full. Making a star gazy needle felt hare

"What a wonderful day, from the welcome, the beautiful studio in a wonderful setting, convivial company whilst working full on with our hare felting projects. It was impressive the preparation Anis the tutor had gone to with our work boxes with numbered packs, instruction sheets and a little pack of horsehair to take home in case we didn’t complete our hares! A really lovely day, which I can fully recommend and I look forward to the ‘sheep and hedgehogs’ at a future date. Thank you so very much Shirley - fantastic! Gaynor Pharoah X"

Shirley Davis Dew. Art 4 All responded:

"You're welcome Gaynor. I am pleased you enjoyed the day and I look forward to seeing you at future workshops. Shirley"
