Embroidery/applique kit - 'Home is Where the Heart is'

UK Postage Only. This slow stitch kit will keep you busy for hours and hours. It is made in the most cheerful coloured fabrics and threads and will keep your spirits up every time you look at it. The patchwork background is in various cream fabrics and all the patches are embellished with applique, embroidery and decorative stitching. It is then finished off with a gorgeous soft grey patterned fabric and can be hung for all to admire. The finished item is roughly A3 in size. This is for someone with sewing experience. You can interpret the instructions as you like. You may wish to cut the background pieces to size then stitch them to the wadding and embroider through. Or you may prefer to embroider the pieces before stitching them to the background and embellishing. Both ways will work! In this little kit, you will hand stitch at your own pace and use lots of techniques: transferring the design, cutting out the shapes to size, embroidering, applique, embellishing with lace, using buttons and creating kantha stitches.

The kit includes: Wadding, several cream coloured natural fabrics, backing fabric, (maybe some vintage linen), DMC embroidery threads, needles, buttons, lace, coloured and patterned fabrics, fully illustrated detailed instructions with photographs of each stage and templates.

What you will need

All you will need is: scissors, sewing thread, pins, a transfer pen, a hanger of some kind (I love old wooden knitting needles), and patience.
