Description
Kawandi quilting is a lovely hand quilting technique using fabric scraps and colourful embroidery thread. You'll start off a small project today which will give you a good overview of the technique. And you can take all of the supplies home to finish your placemat at home. This is a lovely technique from India/Pakistan that is a great way of using up colourful fabric scraps or special fabrics from children's clothes or a loved one that has passed away. Come along and try something new!
What's included in the price?
If you have special fabrics you would like to use, please bring your collection of fabric scraps or any special sentimental fabrics. Otherwise, we will have plenty of materials for you to use on the day. Please note this is a hand sewing class, so you will not need a sewing machine. Please bring a packed lunch for the day or you can buy yours in the Morrison's café. ** We are a small charity devoted to getting people into craft. We aim to keep our workshop price as low as possible in order to make it as accessible as we can. We are always taking in donations of fabric and craft supplies, which we put towards future projects. So if you are clearing out your cupboards, please feel free to bring anything to the session that needs a new home. **
