Helen reviewed: Plant inspired ceramic dishes

"We had a lovely afternoon with Su and were lucky enough to be able to make use of the shady courtyard outside her studio on what was a very warm day. Su was a generous and welcoming host as well as a patient teacher, making everything feel achievable to us as complete beginners. We were all proud of the pieces we made and can’t wait to see them once they’ve been fired in the kiln! A great value for money workshop and a fun and relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Thanks Su! Perdy reviewed: Beginners Ring Wax Carving Workshop

"I have always been so fascinated by the well made jewellery that Emily creates. She is an incredibly talented designer, creator and even teacher that we can experience with this workshop. I started off with the most minimal idea for my ring that Emily helped blossom into a design I am so excited and proud of. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Winchester, if it’s with friends, family or even by yourself. Emily is so chatty and helpful that thanks to her you will create a ring that is totally bespoke to you!"

Robin Turner reviewed: Intermediate 1-day 1-2-1 woodturning workshop for 1 person

"A really interesting and informative day with Simon who patiently guided me through the various stages of wood turning. I am amazed at the level of skill, touch and finesse that a wood turner needs. For a few hours I was introduced to some of these attributes which I can aspire to develop independently. Under Simon's tutelage I came home with artefacts which stunned my wife and left her speechless..... A rare occurrence. Many thanks to Louise and Simon for a great day. "

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Hi Robin, Thank you for a lovely review and we're so pleased you enjoyed your day. As promised, please get in touch if you require any further assistance. Happy turning!"

Tam reviewed: Pottery wheel throwing taster

"Absorbing 2 hours. There were 6 people on the session we joined a family of 4. Richard demonstrated and explained the basics and then let us loose with the pottery wheels. Depending on your luck/skill most of the group managed to make 3 small pots. We need to make an appointment to go back in about a month to glaze our makes then once they are fired we can return to collect them. A really good 2 hours and looking forward to seeing if our creations survive the kiln."

Potterydayz responded:

"Great to see you at Potterydayz and I am delighted that you found the session absorbing. Thank you for taking the time to add a review and I look forward to seeing you for glazing."

HTG reviewed: Beginners 1-day pairs woodturning workshop

"I've been learning turning for a just few months, and I took my novice 11 y/o daughter with me for a two-person experience. We both learned a huge amount, and my daughter gained enough confidence to be able to turn a bowl pretty independently. We both absolutely loved the experience. Simon has a solid way of explaining key concepts, and real depth of knowledge and skill. Honestly, I can't imagine what Simon could have done to have made it any better. I highly recommend the experience. "

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Hi HTG, Thank you so much for your heartfelt review; it means a lot to us. It's nice to know that we have helped you both on your woodturning journey and, if you need further assistance, please do get in touch. -- Simon & Louise"
