This workshop will span two days, a few weeks apart. The date you book will be the date of your first session; the date of your second session will be exactly 3 weeks later (e.g. if you choose Wednesday 26th May, your second session will be Wednesday 16th June. Friday 28th May is paired with 18th June). I will send you a confirmation before you complete your booking.
The first day will be dedicated to making the ring wax (the blue model in the pictures). We’ll size the ring so it fits you, then play with a number of tools and techniques to make something you really love! You will have up to three hours to create your ring.
The few weeks gap is necessary to allow plenty of time for your ring to be posted off to cast (turned into silver) and make it back again in time for part 2 on Day 2. I don’t currently have the facilities onsite to do this myself, so a trustworthy third party is taking on this role instead.
Day 2 consists of cutting, filing and polishing your ring so that it’s ready to take it home. This session will be 2 and a half hours.
We’ll go through all of the equipment you’ll need to create your one-of-a-kind piece, touch on health and safety, and I’ll be there to answer any and all of your questions!
If the given dates don’t work for you, please contact me and we’ll see if we can work something out.
If you’d prefer to only do the one day and have me finish the ring for you, let me know and we can work that out too!
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
The wax, tools, silver. You just have to bring your lovely self and wear some clothes you don't mind getting mucky!
You'll leave, after the second session, with a beautiful, cast, silver ring made by you.

Thank you for your kind words! I'm very glad you enjoyed yourself; it was a beautiful ring indeed! Well done!I went in with a desire to make a ring as a Christmas present for my mother and was overwhelmed, in the best way possible, by how much I learned and how much I enjoyed myself. Emily Smith is a fantastic teacher and helped me shape my ring into an even better design than I had imagined. I had no prior experience in regards to jewellery before but that proved to be no problem at all as it was easy to learn and found myself enjoying every aspect of the ring making process, and was given total freedom to create with expert and educational supervision. I will be recommending this experience to anyone with an interest in jewellery, or who wish for an enjoyable and educational experience with beautiful results!
