Sioban reviewed: Fused Glass Workshop at the Warehouse

"My 11yr old daughter and I did this course together and we both really enjoyed it. Jo is a lovely person and great teacher - very relaxed and laid back which makes you feel comfortable exploring the materials etc. The workshop was delivered in Whaley Bridge which was a fab location, easy to get to with free parking. Just layer up as it gets cold in the building due to its age. We even got a hot cuppa and some biscuits to top off a wonderful experience "

Jo Turner Stained Glass responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review and really pleased that you both enjoyed the workshop, Jo :)"

Angela Houlston reviewed: Online Lino Printing Course with Oxford Linocut Workshops

"This was a most enjoyable course and a great way to learn something new. It’s really helpful to practice using my own equipment. Claire was a great teacher and has perfected the art of managing the online experience so you can see exactly what to do…probably better than face to face in fact! Thank you "

Ben reviewed: Make an Adirondack garden chair

"Had an excellent day with Andy. Learned a lot of fundamentals and techniques on different machines and came away with a lovely chair that I'll be using in the garden this summer! I definitely recommend to anyone who's looking to learn the basics or develop their skills, or anyone who'd like to own a piece of original furniture that they made by their own hand rather than bought from a website off a production line. A very rewarding experience with a great bloke! "

WoodWorker responded:

"Thxs Ben for your great review, hope u enjoy your new Adirondack Chair and sanding lol!! Take care."

Chloe reviewed: Adventures in book binding with Ali Reeve

"I've done some bookbinding at home but this workshop was quite freeing, learning where you can "cheat" or break the rules to make some quick and easy books. It was very accessible for beginners and great to get so much done in a day. I would say that the environment was quite chaotic which didn't lend itself to a calming/relaxing atmosphere, and I found it quite stressful when the table started filling up with materials and tools and I didn't really have enough space to work. I think in that space, a maximum of 8 participants would work much better; it's not an expensive day and I would have happily paid more to cover the difference for a smaller class."

Stamps Away responded:

"Hi, appreciate your feedback greatly. We hope that our price makes it accessible to more people, to start their book binding journey. And the fluid teaching with introduction of additional materials is always in response to the students who may ask questions."

Carole Bentley-Vick reviewed: Learn the Potters' Wheel in a Weekend

"I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who’s ever fancied having a go at throwing a pot. We were in a group of three and My husband and I were complete beginners. The experience was so enjoyable, friendly, informal, relaxed, totally hands on and extremely informative. Joss is an excellent teacher and by the time we got to the end of the second day we knew we had the skills to carry on making pots on our own. Then to add to the whole experience, you’re in the middle of Dartmoor, what more could you ask for"

Powdermills Pottery responded:

"Thank you, Carole - it was a joy to meet and work with you both. Happy potting!"

"Chrissy was a great host. she explained the process for creating the mosaic and was there throughout to offer help if needed. She had an abundance of materials to choose from for us to create something we were really pleased with. We were provided with grouting to take home, along with instructions, in order to finish off the piece once the initial part of the process was dry. I would definitely recommend this course. "

Rachel Wakley reviewed: Beginners Mosaics Workshops near Exeter, Devon

"Absolutely fantastic, I loved every minute and learned more than enough to get me started to make some of my own pieces. Denni was so patient and knowledgeable and you couldn't help but be inspired by her many amazing pieces around the house, my mind was an explosion of ideas for that day and for the future. We were given very useful, comprehensive notes and some tiles to take away with us and Denni gave me couple of little bits I liked on the day too. The cake was delicious and ensured we took a couple of small breaks! Mosaicking is highly addictive, when you start you do not want to stop, that is definitely true! Such a good value course in every respect, I will go back to learn more, in the meantime, anyone reading this should just book a place on Denni's course, you will not be disappointed, it is the best money I have spent on something for myself. Enjoy!"

MosaicXandMe responded:

"I’m thrilled to read your review as I certainly get the impression you enjoyed your day! It makes it all worth while to learn you want to do more too. Thank you so much, Rachel. In fact I think it’s the best review I’ve had and one I should frame 🤗👍! I hope to see you again sometime at another workshop. Denny x"

Jenny reviewed: Day classes in traditional blacksmithing ... make an item to take away

"This was a 15th birthday present for my son. Rudi was very welcoming and my son was soon heating a metal bar in the forge to make a fire poker, which he got done for lunch time. After lunch, Rudi worked with him to make a rustic knife and while the knife was cooling before the final stage of the process, he had time to make an S hook. All items turned out amazing. My son thoroughly enjoyed the day and was proud to show off what he had made to family. We can 100% recommend this course with Rudi ."

George reviewed: Beginners Woodworking: Make a Bread Board

"I had a really good time doing this course and recommend it. The level was perfect for me as a beginner - not too difficult but not too easy. Dan was a good teacher who explained things clearly and helped whenever needed. I thought that the day was great overall and I even enjoyed having wonder around this inserting part of London at lunch to find a cafe."
