"Hi Phillipa, Lovely to hear from you and thank you for leaving a review - it’s much appreciated. It was lovely working with you again, seeing your skills, knowledge and understanding growing as the workshop progressed. There’s lots of potential with this process, combining mark making on the intaglio surface and adding more painterly marks to the inked surface. This could be the start of something new and exciting for you. Best wishes Liz Wellby"

Sue Bradbury reviewed: Spinning Wool on a Spinning Wheel

"Excellent beginners’ course, Bec is very knowledgeable and puts across her information accurately. She explains things well and spends time with the less able students to ensure they have a good experience. She has her own sheep and can explain the whole process based on her experience. Would definitely recommend. "

The Woven Briar Ltd responded:

"Thank you Sue I look forward to seeing what you make. Keep in touch!"

Pip Widdas reviewed: Explore Intaglio Printing - Tetra Pak Printing in Derbyshire

"I had a great day at Liz's Intaglio Tetrapak workshop. Liz provides excellent tuition and encouragement in her lovely studio surrounded by beautiful objects and images. Everything is explained clearly, and although I all came with my own ideas, she helpfully pointed me in the right direction when necessary (!). We were looked after in a relaxed and fun atmosphere with plenty of cups of tea and biscuits. I made several prints which I am very happy with, and am inspired to try some more at home. Thank you, Liz!"

Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker responded:

"Hi Pip, It’s always a pleasure to work with you and thank for your kind words - it’s much appreciated. You bring a lovely energy to the day and lots of great ideas, which are always developed to a very high standard. You really should buy a press, as you’ll get so much use from it. Keep coming back, as you keep me on my toes! Best wishes Liz Wellby"

"Phil is a great teacher and really filled the day with as much as possible. He got us started with a morning coffee and we got stuck in. We made so many different things and I can see myself making everything at home in the future. Karin reviewed: Explore Intaglio Printing - Tetra Pak Printing in Derbyshire

"I was pleasantly surprised by the Tetrapak printing workshop. In spite of being an art-lover I am completely hopeless at drawing & painting. But this craft course was so well structured and delivered by Liz that I made a very presentable ‘printing plate’ from which I pulled a variety of prints. There was ample space in Liz’s well-organised studio and workshop areas and the house and setting are wonderful."

Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker responded:

"Hi Karin, Thank you for taking the time to tell me about your day - it’s much appreciated. It was lovely working with you and the idea for your design was really thoughtful. You created a great print, with a lot of technical difficulties, so hats off to you. Best wishes Liz Wellby"

Godfrey Chasmer reviewed: Letter carving in wood

"It was a truly wonderful day. I consider myself an experienced woodworker but the guidance given was superb and I look forward to practicing and adding letter carving in wood to my repertoire. As an added bonus, the day started with tuition on sharpening chisels and gouges. This has inspired me to update my sharpening ‘station’ in my workshop. A great day with 10/10 and 5 stars from me. Well done and many thanks Andy."
