Description
Beginners basket weaving 1 day course. There is a certain beauty in weaving, the smell of the willow, the feel of the bark, seeing your very own grow in front of your eyes. This will be a one day workshop where you'll have the opportunity to learn about different weaving materials, how to collect and prepare them and most importantly on this day, how to weave a round base, sides and a simple border and possibly, if there's time at the end of the day, simple handles and a footer. Rowenna has over 20 years of experience in leading workshops and is an experienced Arts in Health practitioner having worked in the private and public sector leading workshops and creating commissioned work from simple baskets to 8' snowdrops. "Rowenna is incredibly compassionate; she makes people feel welcome, valued and listened to." The workshop will be held in a lovely village hall in Llangower, nestled between the Berwyn hills and the legendary Llyn Tegid.
