Rich reviewed: Woodcarving weekend with experienced teacher, all levels of experience welcome

"Just had a great weekend exploring wood carving with Almut, I was very blessed with the end result and feel inspired to explore further as a home hobby. Nice atmosphere alongside one other student, helpful guidance from Almut with plenty of tips and encouragement without feeling crowded out of learning for oneself. Interesting conversation along the way. Thoroughly recommend."

Almut Woolard responded:

"Dear Rich, Thank you for the carefully written review. I enjoyed the weekend in the workshop. Your finished carving is very well done and shows your skills at using tools. I am always impressed to see how many of our skills are transferable to a new activity."

Brett Moss reviewed: Building and weaving a side chair at The Quiet Workshop

"This has to be my all time favourite course, coming away with a beautifully crafted chair. This is the course you want if you are looking at learning multiple techniques in woodworking, steam bending, carpentry joints and weaving a seat base. St John is a fantastic tutor giving you space to work on your own project, but close by to offer support. Bryony’s cooking is something to behold, lunches & morning & afternoon breaks were always accompanied by delicious homemade creations. Yum"
