Chris Rann reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"Excellent days tuition today, truly one to one instruction. Tony is very knowledgeable and very patient with my first stumbles into the MIG welding world. I really enjoyed the experience and hope to go back for another session when I have practiced a bit more with my own machine. I am confident now to have a practice under my own steam but know if I get stuck, I would be able to give a quick ring for advice. Well worth doing for a complete starter. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in starting MIG welding as a hobby. Very careful with the health and safety side of tuition to keep his students safe. Five stars from me!!!"

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Thank you Chris for your great review I really appreciate it. Carry on practicing in your workshop and if you require any further advice please feel free to contact me. Regards Tony "

Steven Phillips reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"Attended this course with a mate to get an introduction to welding - and couldn't have been more pleased with the day. Tony is a very easy going, friendly and effective teacher. He knows how to weld obviously, but more importantly Tony knows how to introduce welding to complete novices - makes it straightforward and informative. Tony is also very encouraging for those us who don't know our lap joint from our butt joint!"

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Thank you Steven for your kind review, it is very much appreciated. If I can be of any assistance in the future please feel free to contact me. Regards Tony "

Linda reviewed: Mosaic workshop in Norwich

"Thank you so much Fehmi, this was a wonderful course. The work you do is inspirational and helped me to stretch my ideas of what mosaics can be. You guided without pushing while introducing us to some solid techniques. I found some of it not as easy as it looks but you were very encouraging of me to keep going emphasising things get easier with practice! I was happy with my finished piece which is now hanging up for all to see. I certainly intend to carry on at home but also come back for further lessons in the future. I highly recommend this course to anyone."

Jo Fletcher reviewed: Crafty Basketry's Weaving a Log Basket - 2-day Improver's Course at Cowshed Workshop, Tenterden, Kent

"My first two day course with Marianne and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I made an oval foraging basket, weaving the base and learning some new patterns. Marianne is very patient and her knowledge is extensive and she is very good at spotting where you’ve gone wrong! I’m thrilled with my basket and hopefully I will remember some of the techniques on my next course. "

Crafty Basketry responded:

"Thank you so much for your 5-star review, Jo! Super, to hear that you'd like to do a fourth course/workshop. I would love to teach you the techniques of the organic basket; much more playful and sculptural, like one of your pots perhaps. All the very best for now. Marianne"

Sophia and Jake reviewed: Introduction to Woodworking Weekend - Cambridgeshire

"We had the most wonderful weekend learning from Bill on the introductory woodworking course. Never having chiseled wood before, we made a joint and a phone stand by the end of the two days. Bill is very knowledgeable not only about his craft, but also about the history of woodworking, and we enjoyed chatting with him and hearing his stories about the National Trust properties and other collections where he has worked. I can only recommend this course!"

Craven Conservation and Restoration Ltd responded:

"Thank you both for attending and for the taking the time to complete a review, I know you are both very busy. The positive comments are much appreciated, thank you. You know where I am if you need any help. "

I love Jo's workshops, she is so knowledgeable and patient, nothing is too much trouble and her enthusiasm is contagious! Will definitely be back to make a larger piece. "

Amal reviewed: Mixed Media Methods: All the Marks Play Their Part

"This was a fabulous course...I've come away from it buzzing to play and try out the advice and suggestions we were given. Steve gave some wonderful examples of how mixed media can be used to create pictures, but the style of the course was very much experimental rather than directed, with Steve always on hand for guidance and advice.
