"Paul made my friend and I very welcome with endless cups of tea. Some difficulty in finding venue but worth it. We had not done this craft work before but would certainly have another go. "I thoroughly enjoyed spending two hours weaving. I was able to try a variety of different ways to change the weave such as incorporating small pieces of felt/wool. I was amazed at how much I was able to achieve in such a short period of time as a complete beginner. It was lovely to have a go at this relaxing craft and to be able to create something using manual technology in this high tech, fast paced world in which we live. I would highly recommend. "

"A really enjoyable morning. Gillian gave good step by step instruction to enable the group to create their own unique design. Gillian was on hand with hints and tips throughout. I was totally immersed in creating and making my piece of garden art. The coffee mid morning was also very nice. I will definitely be booking another workshop. "

"Having never carved stone before, I have no idea what to expect, or what I would be able to achieve, but I liked the idea of having a go. I'm so glad I did, it was great. Debs is such a great teacher, and so knowledgeable, I was instantly at ease. The time just flew by. We were supplied with tea/coffee and home-made cake at break times, and it was great talking to the other carver and hearing about (and seeing some of ) the pieces Debs has carved. I was so encouraged by the experience that I bought another block of stone to take home with me to try carving another piece in my garden. A great weekend!"

"We had a fabulous Day. Di was so talented, there were clear instructions and plenty of materials. What we loved most was that Di was flexible in her approach and we were able to chat freely, she offered hints and tips and was happy to share all her secrets about where to get the best materials and tried and tested alternatives. All this was set within the beautiful setting of her home and stunning gardens. We will definitely be repeating the processes at home."

It is situated in a lovely picturesque part of East Yorkshire. Anna helped us to tackle button holes and buttons. We all made a pouch with button fastenings for us to take home. Anna was very patient and informative. We also enjoyed the coffee and homemade cake. I would highly recommend to others. Anne"

"My son and I attended Fishing Fly Tying half day. I am a complete beginner and my son has some knowledge and practical skills. The venue is excellent, the instructor was great, welcoming and made you feel at ease straight away. We started with a simple flies such as a mop fly processing to making flies such as a pheasant tale nymph. The instructor was flexible and asked what we wanted to learn the make. All supplies used were explained and instructions were clearly given. Conversation was engaging and very informative. My son and I tend to do a workshop together to spend time together while learning a new/improve skills. I would highly recommend this course, great location, fantastic instructor and amazing home made cake. "

"Really outstanding course, this one! Not for complete beginners, there's a lot to get done but the project is fun and challenging. I'd never done veneers before so that was very interesting. John is a great tutor, very patient and he explains thing well. I learned a huge amount over the four days and corrected a lot of bad habits. Excellent course and really valuable."
