"I wasn't sure what to expect from a 'family hen experience ' in an old barn but I most certainly was not disappointed! Alice is an excellent teacher, welcoming and calm with the patience of a saint. We all made our 3 rings, had delicious cake and left with a real sense of achievement. I can't wait to have another go!"

Jane reviewed: Half Day Jewellery Making Workshop - Silver Stacking Rings

"Alice is calm, patient and amazing. Every step is a learning opportunity and I was delighted with my rings. Instructions were easy to follow and guidance was given patiently at every point. The setting is delightful and tea and very delicious cake in the garden was an extra treat. We went as a Surprise Hen Do for my daughter. She said it was perfect and the whole group ( 8 of us) are raving about our experience. Thank you so much Alice x"

Sergey Danilin reviewed: Woodturning 2 Hour Taster Session in Berkshire

"I have taken part in the introduction course delivered by Liz last Sunday (16/08/2025). It was fantastic experience indeed. I enjoyed the course a lot! Liz is a brilliant instructor. It was very clear what to do at every step of our process and enough time was given to accomplish the step. I especially liked the cases when she was guiding my gouge to make a cut correctly, that immediately gave me the feeling of how it should be done. All tools and materials were available for us to use. I also enjoyed friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the work shop. I can highly recommend this course for everyone who wants to start their journey through the wood turning thing. There is something magical and meditative in it, and time just flies by unnoticed when you are at the lathe. The result of my work is below"

Love Heartwood Turning School responded:

"Thank you Sergey. I'm very happy you enjoyed yourself and got so much from the course. You're welcome back anytime."

Great value for money especially as you get the cheeseboard and 4 coasters at the end of it. Just be aware that you need to leave your creations with them for 48 hrs - craft courses.com had left this off the information "
