Rachel Warrillow reviewed: Mandala Creation Drawing Workshop in the Peak District

"Tamsin has a wonderful way of teaching, such a natural, clear, encouraging way about her. She is so warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and so talented. Not only did we learn how to draw one mandala, but how to both draw our own and make an infinite number to allow us to practice this for as long as we want to after the workshop. I think every person there bought the kit to carry on doing more on our own, so that says a lot! The studio is also beautifully set out, surrounded by Tamsin's own art work which is really inspiring. I can't recommend Tamsin's Mandala workshop highly enough!! "

Rachel Langley reviewed: Glass Fusion - Christmas Wreath Decoration Workshop

"Welcomed by tutor and time spent talking through options. Steps shown and guidance given. Able to work at own pace and to use our own ideas. Advice available at all times. Health and safety PPE available. Booking team did not inform attendees to book in and register numberplate. Tutor unsure when items jade would be ready for collection, as this was a Christmas craft perhaps a date late November would be better. Waiting now to be contacted when item ready but unsure who or how we are being contacted. Overall a good course and would attend another glass workshop."

Stanwick Lakes Art and Craft Courses responded:

"Thank you for leaving us a review. We are pleased you enjoyed the course and have taken your comments on-board. Apologies if your vehicle registration details were not taken by our reception team. The 'Access' email you received upon booking should have advised you to give your car details to the team so our apologies if this was not clear or if they did not ask you for it when you booked in. I understand the course tutor has now been in contact with you directly and let you know that your items are now ready for collection here at Stanwick Lakes. Best wishes, The Stanwick Lakes team."

Catherine Friend reviewed: Making Stained Glass Christmas Baubles (Whitley Chapel)

"As complete novices we managed to produce 2 items each with help from Barbara and Eddie. It is more difficult than it looks and they were very supportive. Maybe in a smaller class we may have managed a better finish. They were well organised with plenty of equipment so there was very little waiting time. An enjoyable morning, give it a go"

Simply Smallholding responded:

"Thank you for your review. So glad you enjoyed yourselves. This is definitely a skill that gets better with practice."

Charlotte Dawson reviewed: Plaster mould making for slip cast ceramics with Ed Bentley

"In total I spent 10 days working with Ed in his studio in Stoke on Trent, Over the course of 3 months. Together we produced, 1 large sculpture mould and 6 smaller scale moulds for hand sized sculptures. Between tuition dates I was able to contact Ed to ask for advice and always looked forward to returning to commence our next sessions. Ed is an excellent teacher and none of the stages felt rushed, he provided us with plenty of time to take each stage at the pace required to learn, encouraged me to take pictures at every stage and had no issue answering any questions I had about the process we were learning or other slip casting processes. I now feel I could successfully produce slip casting moulds independently, but could also always attend some top up session for more difficult shapes. The moulds we produced together are to an incredible standard and really beautifully finished. Ed is definitely worth every penny! "
