Are you fed up of the artificial chemicals in your skin care products? Would you like to make your own organic cleanser, moisturiser, body butters, facial and body oils etc?
Well now you can. Come to the beautiful county of Shropshire and join me and discover the gorgeous oils and butters that you can use to make your own beauty products.
I have a Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation and will teach you how to make all your natural skincare products at home. Only organic and natural ingredients are used, nothing artificial. We will be making anhydrous products which means no water will be used therefore eliminating the need for preservatives and emulsions. Better for you, for your skin and for the environment. We will be using organic oils and butters to make a range of products suitable for all skin types. You will learn about the different oils and butters available, the beautiful blends of Essential oils and their suitability and benefits to the skin.
In this course you will make at least 3 organic skin care products which will include a moisturiser, and your choice of 2 or 3 more products such as: a cream cleanser, a lip balm, a facial or a body oil, a body butter, a body balm, a facial balm, a nail and cuticle oil, a hair oil.
You will take home the beautiful products that you make on the day.
While you're here meet the animals, my dogs Lizzie and Del Boy, the cats Maggie May and Georgie Girl, my 24 year old horse Felix and his companions Dean and Frank the goats and Brendon and Arthur the sheep. There are numerous rescue ducks and chickens and an aviary where my Quaker parakeet Sully might say hello to you.

Had a wonderful day at Rosie's on Saturday. Learnt lots about oil based organic skincare formulation, and it was great to put theory into practice by making four different products: facial & body moisturisers and facial & body oils. Lunch was delicious and homemade: vegetable & quinoa soup with sourdough bread followed by a vegan chocolate cake. It was so lovely to meet the animals too- after feeding Felix the horse carrots, he gave me kisses in return!

Response from Organik Orangutan:Hi Sophie It was lovely to meet you, so glad you enjoyed the workshop, hope to see you on the soap making. Felix certainly liked you have a look at the photo :) Thank you for the lovely review. Rosie x
A lovely enjoyable day, very well organised.
Home made soup and sourdough for lunch, plenty of refreshments through the day.
We made 4 different products and blended our own essential oils from Rosie's supply.
This was a really great course. We went away with a full handout of recipes and how to make our own products at home.
Rosie tutoring is excellent and I felt confident I would be able to make my own butters, moisturisers and scented facial oils at home.

Response from Organik Orangutan:Thank you Lou and Mark it was lovely to meet you, look forward to seeing you again on a soap making workshop in the New Year :) x
We had such a lovely day from start to finish. Rosie was so warm and welcoming and kindly tailored a course to suit our objectives. We both learnt so much on how to formulate products and understand the process of mixing ingredients. The day was very hands on and has helped us on our way to extending our organic skincare range.
Refreshments and lunch kept coming through out the day we felt pampered and well look after.
Thank you so much Rosie we look forward to attending further workshop and would highly recommend your courses.

Response from Organik Orangutan:It was lovely to meet you both, I look forward to seeing your new skincare range and to see you again on one of my workshops. Rosie
This was my third course with Rosie, which in itself is a sure recommendation for her courses. I had a very productive and wonderful day at Rosie's. Having only small groups makes her course far more productive because the tutor has more time for the individual participant. There is always an easy to follow course manual for each participant and lots of hands on experience. I went away with 3 different skin care products, expecting only to make one to take home!!! Rosie's focus in all her courses is on the most natural, organic and environmentally friendly ingredients in all her products and this course did not fall short, an eye opener into the practises of other cosmetic industry! Apart from all the learning and making, Rosie is a wonderful host to her course participants, presenting lunch, cakes, biscuits cold and hot drinks with all dietary requirements taken into account. You could not ask for more!!!
Inspired by the course, I already made an anhydrous shaving cream for my husband and a friend. Thank you very much

Response from Organik Orangutan:Hi Susanne
We spent an amazing day with Rosie learning all about skin care products allowing us to start to understand what ingredients are in our own skin care products and the purpose of these ingredients. Then we spent the majority of the day 'hands on' making fantastic skin care products using natural ingredients and essential oils to suit our own preferences. There was a lovely range of products to make and we could choose which to make. One of the products I chose to make was 'lip balm' that was suitable for vegans as I had found it difficult to find a store bought one that suited me. It is great that I know exactly what ingredients are in it and I haven't stopped using it since making it and I'm already planning to make a batch for family and friends! As before, lunch and refreshments were provided and were lovely. Thank you Rosie.
