Laura reviewed: Afternoon Christmas Mosaic Decorations Workshop 14.00-17.30

"Arrived at Anne’s fairytale cottage a little flustered and fragile after bickering with the sat nav and heavily pregnant. Felt welcomed instantly. Her mosaic work shop was a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas prep life! A space of creativity, colour and warmth. She facilitated beautifully, adapting it to suit my intent to create a house number. She explained the process and demonstrated without imposing a particular “way” but offered enough guidance for experiment and discovery. Had some great chats , lovely chai tea and festive treats. I came away with a big smile and a product I really love! Highly recommend for those who want tranquillity away from everyday life and lots of laughs. "

Satisfied in Devon reviewed: Christmas Wreath Making Kit on Eco-friendly Willow Bases

"Really enjoyed the experience and the box of materials was beautifully presented! YouTube videos easy to follow along and communication from Jenni was prompt and responsive. Very happy with my wreath!! Plenty of foliage provided. I only made a 10.5inch wreath so I used the leftover foliage to make some garlands for the mantelpiece. "

Jenni Wren Creative responded:

"Thank you for your super feedback and I am so happy you enjoyed the wreath making process and found the video tutorials easy to follow. What a lovely way to use the left over foliage, now not only is your door looking lovely with the wreath that you made but your mantelpiece too. A definite win, win. Have a glorious Christmas. Richard Hutchinson reviewed: Bronze hare kit using air-drying clay - including on-line video with Jo Garden Art

"I loved making the clay hare! The pack was very well put together with clear instructions about what to do. The online video was very helpful. The whole process was throughly enjoyable and I learned a lot. I thought the bronze gilt effect at the end was a great touch and really made the piece. I can say I have been bitten by the clay sculpture bug and have now started on another piece myself "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review Richard. The bronze gilt is a wonderful product - I use it in most of my kits plus at the workshops. A little goes a very long way! Enjoy your continued sculpture work. If you would like information on the materials used, send me a message via Craft Courses. Jo x"

Adam & Mark reviewed: Introduction to woodturning: for two people

"December 2023 I arranged for my son-in-law and I to attend Bill's introduction to woodturning course. Prior to the course I had an email conversation with Bill about what I knew my son-in-law wanted to make and sent over his drawings, on arrival we were greeted warmly and offered a hot drink followed by Bill telling us he had come up with a design he thought was more suitable for us but was willing to go ahead with either design. We decided to go along with Bill's design and then got shown around his very well fitted out workshop which was clean, pleasantly warm and well lit and had a toilet. He followed this up with an explanation of what he had planned for us to do and an introduction to the machines in the workshop. Bill broke the production of our chosen design down into steps and demonstrated each step before allowing us to try our hand at it and once completed he moved us onto the next step until completion. As an instructor he proved to be very attentive offering advice and assistance when needed, his mild easy going attitude made him extremely approachable along with his wealth of knowledge, and obvious enjoyment of teaching his subject. I have since spoken to him and again he was generous with his time and advice, in all a perfect gentleman. I feel the course was worth the cost. We both had a very enjoyable day and each had a wooden ornament to take home, we have now purchased a lathe of our own, as our experience grows, will go back to Bill for further instruction."

Sue&Andy reviewed: Come Frame With Me 2 - Bring a Friend or Relative

"This is a fantastic experience from start to finish. Ady’s teaching style is to show you how to perform each required step with excellent precision and then you complete that on your own art work so that you have a completed mounted and framed item to take home with you. The set up is very welcoming with a super hot lunch served by the lovely Cathy. Not only that but full instructions are emailed out to you at the end of the day for future reference - this is such a nice touch and not one I have seen from any other course I have completed. "

Studio 93 Framing responded:

"Thank you Sue and Andy, It was a pleasure to have you over for the day. I do hope that you can use your new-found skills to create your own frames in the future. All the very best, Ady "

"What a great experience! Having never ever attempted glass fusion before, I really didn’t know what to expect. She’s warm, welcoming, patient and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this experience! "

Sam O-G reviewed: Needle felt workshop

"My three children (aged 11 and 10) did a three hour workshop. Yvonne hosted brilliantly. She gave us options on what to make, and allowed us to do a bespoke session aligned to our love of pugs! We each came away with a unique pug bauble, having had a great time choosing our colours and accessories. She even supplied very yummy snacks. I would highly recommend this course for complete beginners to experienced crafters. "

Needle Felt Art responded:

"Sam thank you so much for such a glowing review, it was such a joy to felt with you and your children. The results were amazing, everyone was so well focused, a pleasure to work with. "

Tricia Hunt reviewed: Slate mosaic workshop at Jo Garden Art

"Well what a fabulous day, Jo was a brilliant teacher, eager to help and show us what would look good together but leaving us to use our own imagination. My daughter Lauren, who has Asperger syndrome was delighted with her pieces and Jo was so patient with her as Lauren asked plenty of questions for her. We came away with four beautiful pieces of unique art work. Can't wait to go back again and make a large piece. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Tricia! I was pleased to be able to arrange this extra workshop for you and your family. Delighted that Lauren enjoyed the day and loved her pieces of art. Jo xx"
