Victoria reviewed: Tapestry Weaving for Beginners with Fiona Nisbet

"A relaxing day learning tapestry weaving from scratch with Fiona in her studio. Clearly passionate about all things fibre, she was a knowledgeable and patient teacher. We didn’t have the scones mentioned, but Fiona made a delicious lentil lasagne lunch and we had local plums for dessert so definitely didn’t go hungry! I ended the day with a complete piece and bought a small loom to take home to keep working on. "

Shropshire Weavers responded:

"Thank you very much for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed your day. It was lovely to help you weave your first tapestry weaving. Apologies for providing biscuits instead of scones! I’ve got no excuse but promise you’ll have a scone next time! Happy Weaving!"

Rachael reviewed: Pick & Mix Glass Fusing Taster Sessions (Open Group)

"My daughter participated in this course and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dawn was knowledgeable and passionate, explaining everything clearly. The items you make are high end and something you will absolutely want to display. My daughter is Autistic and struggles to speak when uncomfortable, but Dawn's warmth enabled her to engage fully. Highly recommended. "

Dawn Turner Designs responded:

"Thank you for this review. It means such a lot to me, that your daughter felt comfortable at the studio, with both myself and the other participants. I loved what she made, and hope she's pleased with the results - look forward to seeing you again soon x"

John Springthorpe reviewed: One day salt or pepper mill woodturning course one to one.

"I had a great day with Bill, turning a pepper mill. From selecting the wood, deciding on the design, and actually doing the turning, it was a real learning curve, as I had never done this before. Bill knew exactly the level to teach, and the finished mill will be used."

Jo reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"I loved this course - such a great way to spend a couple of days being completely absorbed in the process of making a box. All the time surrounded by amazing countryside. And with a beautiful box at the end. Mark is very patient and great at explaining the why of all the steps as well as the how. The course is a good combination of machine and hand skills. I did it with my two sisters and it was a lovely way to spend the weekend together. "

Tim Fairburn reviewed: Firebird Forge Blacksmithing School

"This was a great experience. An absolute must is to know what you want to make and get stuck in. Mort is a fountain of knowledge and enthusiasm, and instantly able to sort out any mishaps you might have during the 'manufacture' of your creation. Would wholeheartedly recommend the experience."

Derek Clarek reviewed: One day Wood Carving Experience

"Really looking forward to doing this course but due to family circumstances were unable to attend. Notified the organisers who pointed out that course cost would be lost for any cancellations within four weeks of the start. Disappointed they didn't even offer an alternative date so we could attend later."

Rix & Co Rocking Horses Ltd responded:

"We were truly sorry that you couldn't attend this course. Our goal is always to have happy and satisfied customers and we make every accommodation we can to ensure that this is the case. Our courses require significant preparation and prior investment. We have a limited number of places available and when a course is full, such as this was, we have to turn away potential bookings. We know from experience that we require at least 4 weeks to have a hope of filling any cancelled / re-scheduled bookings. With such short notice, we felt that the offer of other attendees coming in your place was the fairest option we could reasonably suggest. Regards, Maggie "

Mathew Frost reviewed: Peak Blacksmithing Experience days

"The blacksmithing experience was thoroughly enjoyed by the 4 of us, a day we'll never forget. Tim and Jessica were great, very thorough explanations and demonstrations of what to do. They're both incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We were kept well supplied with hot and cold drinks throughout the day, food was catered for by a little food place in the next village and was really good, especially the cakes. By the end of the day we'd all produced a fancy fire poker using many different blacksmithing techniques. Left at the end of the day wanting to do more! Would recommend this to anyone! 5 Star!"

Peak Blacksmithing Experience responded:

"Thank you so much for your review! We are very glad you enjoyed the day as much as we do. We hope to see you again! Kind Regards, Jessica"
