Kathy reviewed: Introduction to creative floorloom weaving

"I arrived a little anxious because I'm the kinda person who follows patterns (and only then adds a personal touch) but I left feeling inspired and liberated by the freedom of Saori weaving, the joy of playing with and exploring colours and textures I don't usually go to and knowing that whatever I created it would be just fine . Janine gently guides, suggests and encourages. Was a truly wonderful afternoon."

MrsSW reviewed: Stained glass sun-catcher workshop: Hampshire

"I loved this course. It was really well paced, and I completed my make with no help, just supervision. At the start I didn't think I'd be able to make what I did and it was a lovely day."

Elizabeth Donaghy reviewed: Spoon Carving with Touchwood Glasgow

"A great way to spend a Saturday. Robert is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher as I was a complete novice, never having done woodwork before. I’m already looking at potential friends & family to gift this experience to. Robert followed the course with an email containing useful information and where to buy supplies. Great location with trains, buses & parking in side streets. If you’re thinking about this course I recommend you go for it. "

Callum reviewed: Potter's wheel pottery - half day course Siramik

"The course is amazing. I got the day experience as a birthday present for the girlfriend and now I’m into pottery. Although I only did the 1 day course. I am considering doing the lessons when work gives me some time off. The venue has amazing views and easy to find (with the helpful instructions). The experience alone is worth it, but I can’t wait to bring my pots back. I can’t recommend it enough. "

Siramik responded:

"Hello Callum, Wasn't it a fun day! The course should really come with a health warning because if you get hooked on pottery, you might well be building yourself a studio for your potter's wheel and kiln. Thank you for your kind words, I always hope that participants of the courses get the best of me and try to convey a bit of my passion onto my students. Now it will be waiting for the pots to dry and be fired. Thank you again for the morning companion."

Nick R reviewed: Beginners spoon carving course

"Steve's spoon carving course was really excellent and highly enjoyable. All the chopping, cutting & carving techniques were clearly explained and demonstrated so that we were able to use the tools effectively and, most importantly, safely. It was also fascinating to gain an insight into how the wood was sourced from Steve's woodland and prepared for use. I came away with a new appreciation of the craft involved in working with green wood - and a desire to continue in the future. Many thanks to Steve for a brilliant day - highly recommended!"

Alex reviewed: Sip and make-Beginners Earring making workshop

"What an absolutely wonderful experience! I did this craft course with my mum for mother's day and we both had a brilliant time and learned so much. Diane ran the course and was a joy to get to know. On arrival we were presented with prosecco (or tea/coffee) and there were also some nibbles which was a really lovely touch!! The course was very informative and we managed to make 3 beautiful pairs of earrings! Diane was an excellent teacher, we felt very relaxed and the whole experience we found to be very therapeutic. Huge range of beads and designs you could make too . Thank you so much Diane, we had a great day and hope to come back for soap making! "

Creative Path Crafts responded:

"Wow Alex, that is quite the review. I'm just so pleased you enjoyed yourself and got to spend some quality time with your Mam. Now get those earrings made for your bridesmaids 😂. Any further questions or enquiries just email me. Diane x"

Sarah B reviewed: Bottle Brooches - Craft Party - Group bookings only

"Wow fantastic :-) I booked this course for myself, sister and friend as presents. I had a query before booking it and was very impressed by the friendly prompt reply. On the course day Claire and Janet gave us a lovely welcome even though unfortunately we turned up late- so a great start. All instructions and information to make our brooches were clear and every step explained. Claire and Janet were supportive of our creative ideas for the brooches. They allowed us to experiment and happily aided when required, which for myself was quite frequent! After 2.30 hours, hot drinks and yummy cakes later, we left the art studio with 3 wonderful brooch creations that each of us felt proud to of made. Myself, sister and friend have done many craft experiences but we all agree this was far the best and we all loved our end "take home" crafts - a first for the 3 of us! We'll definitely be back to Fancy Tat for another craft experience. Thank you Claire and Janet, Sarah B"

Fancy Tat responded:

"Hello Sarah, Thank you so much for your very kind review. We very much enjoyed spending the morning with you and we are really pleased that you had a lovely time. Your brooches were all beautiful! :) We look forward to seeing you again! Kind Regards Claire & Janet"

Jennie reviewed: Glass blowing course - taster

"What a fantastic day, a course I highly recommend. Glass blowing is something my friend and I have been on about for about a decade, I'm so glad we have finally done it. Steve and Angie are highly skilled, friendly and very patient teachers, who made this an exceptional experience. I definitely feel like I have achieved something special. I had a 'smashing' first go losing my first vase to an over enthusiastic tap, but achieved it 2nd time round. Overall I made some lovely pieces I will treasure, and finished off with a rather wonky swan. A really great course thanks for having us 😀 "

Chew Valley HandMade Glass responded:

"Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Jennie, it was a pleasure to meet you both. You were both very easy to teach as you picked it up very quickly. So pleased you enjoyed your time with us. Regards Steve and Angie "

Felicity Brown reviewed: Beginners Stained Glass Day With Panoramic Sea Views

"I had such a perfect day with Aveen. The workshop was in her beautiful home by the sea - a calm space which was ideal for finding creativity. She is a patient and thorough teacher - I feel like I know enough to be able to create my own patterns in future as she was happy to go above and beyond what we needed to know for the day's project. I am so happy with my honeycomb piece, thank you!"
