Susan Jones reviewed: Beginner's screen printing at Slamseys

"Booked this class quite last minute as it's just down the road from me. Easy to find, great parking. Coffee and cake provided. It felt like a long day as there was so much to learn, but a nice packed lunch around the farm pond was a nice break halfway through. I'm going to transfer these screen printing skills onto fabric. I will definitely keep an eye out for future classes."

Deedee reviewed: Beginner's screen printing at Slamseys

"had been looking forward to this class for ages as it was fully booked last time. Had a great time, perfecting my screen printing technique. I actually really enjoyed using the small thermofax screens, even though I was most looking forward to the main larger screens. Scrummy cakes too."

Mich reviewed: Beginner's screen printing at Slamseys

"A whole day dedicated to screen printing - what a great day! Excellent and friendly teaching and I left with five perfect prints on paper, and had also tried smaller screens in the morning. The barn was very warm and a great space to work!"

Laura reviewed: Beginners fabric printing two day introduction at Slamseys

"Took part in this course over two days - I chose this course because I wanted an opporuntity to use thermofax screens as well as woodblocks, but I also got the chance to make my own designs. Trying out different inks was great - I now know everything I need to carry on printing at home, which was my plan :)"

Rosalyn 'Rosie' Barnes-Galton reviewed: A Practical Dry Stone Walling Workshop Central London

"What an incredibly enjoyable day spent! I loved it all. An amazingly incongruous thing to be building a dry stone wall in full view of The Shard. It was tiring but in a very 'mindful' way, so actually pretty relaxing and very satisfying. We have a cottage in Devon and I've always wanted to build a feature 'slice' of dry stone wall in it. John is a lovely man and a great teacher. Overall an excellent, educational and fun day in really pleasant company. Would highly recommend to anyone!"

Jill reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"The bangle workshop was a birthday present from friends, it was a great day and something completely different. Jolene was really friendly and very helpful as non of us had any idea what we were doing but by the end of the day we had all managed to make something that we were quite pleased with. I had a brilliant day making not only my bangles but memories of a great day spent with friends, thank you Jolene for helping to make yesterday a wonderful birthday present"

Lynn reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"A truly wonderful day! We hoped to make something vaguely round which we could get on and off and we came away with some gorgeous bangles that are totally unique and which we absolutely love! The workshop is a magical space where even we - 3 non-creative besties - were inspired to let go of our inhibitions and create beautiful jewellery. We went to celebrate a big birthday and would thoroughly recommend it as something different to do for such an occasion or just for yourself. Jolene is lovely and the cake was fab!!! We will be going back. Thank you Jolene x"

"Superb day - everything I'd thought it might be plus more. Dave and Viv were excellent. I can highly recommend this course and a day of spoon carving. Sitting in close concentration under a canopy of ancient woodland with a mug of coffee, very pleasant company and expert and passionate guides. What's not to like! I've ordered my own tools and I'm on my way. Thank you!"

John Conway reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Georges tuition style is very focussed and taylored as he developes the best way to teach each section of the day. He is very thoughtful in his delivery and also encouraging at the same time. His knowledge is amazing and quickly realised what areas needed attention, A great day ( supported wonderfully by Sue with the catering and tea stops) . I would have no hesitation in recommending and will visit again once I have digested all I have been shown and learnt by a very clever wood turner, John"

"I have just completed the four day intensive beginners course with Ciarán and have had a wonderful time. I would truly recommend it to either an absolute beginner or someone with woodwork skills. I was astounded by the piece of work we produced. Thank you to Ciarán for the best 4 days I have had in a long time The cups of tea and biscuits, lovely lunches and the laughter also go down a treat. Laura Hurds reviewed: One Day Small Leather Goods Workshop

"The course was really fun and informative. Sarah was a great teacher and really personalised her self to each persons skill level and way of learning. Although everyone made a saddle bag the flexibility of the day meant everyone got to personalise the final product to match their own taste in a multitude of ways which was a nice creative twist. I left with a great new bag ans have learnt a lot and will now no longer shy away from a material I would have never consider attempting working with before."

"Absolutely loved it! Would like to come again. Liked the hand stitching but found punching the holes evenly difficult. Thanks for helping me. I have a really professional looking product and used it today in town. Had to buy a new purse as mine is too big for the bag. I'd like to do some machine stitching over the summer hols. I'll see what you have available. Many thx."

Mike W reviewed: Pottery Throwing Workshop with Jim Malone - Winchester

"The 5-day workshop was just what I needed to get to the next stage in my potting. John’s daily demonstrations of throwing techniques (from basics to advanced) followed-up by his focused and endlessly patient one-to-one coaching of everyone on the course was a recipe for progress. As a relative newcomer to throwing on the wheel I had plenty to learn. I noticed that the more seasoned attendees also benefitted from John’s insightful comments and constructive feedback. It was a pleasure to find someone not only very talented in what he did but equally able to communicate his approach to others with a lightness of touch and a sense of humour. The facilities at the pottery were excellent and Nadia’s enthusiasm and attention to detail made the whole five days a smooth and enjoyable experience. Very highly recommended."
