I have just completed the Fused Glass course and found the whole experience a delight. Gigha was an excellent tutor - patient, clear in her instructions and advice, keen to pass on her expertise and enthusiasm, and happy to provide plenty of design ideas. The variety of glass and embellishments available to students was exceptional, with none of the "rationing" I have experienced elsewhere. The environment was safe, with current H&S requirements well thought-out. Lunch and endless refreshments were well catered for. I've already booked another course, and intend to do them all!

An inspirational one-day workshop in a creative and inspiring atmosphere, led by a very talented, patient tutor. A whole new skill set for me to learn but I produced two pieces of work that have been much admired!
Re: Covid-19: Hand sanitising stations and PPE is supplied and all tools, cleaned prior to us attending are for your exclusive use which was very reassuring.

My husband, myself and grand daughters' Nan were given a surprise to attend the mosaic glass workshop as his lordship's 75th birthday gift. All three of us first timers, never having held the tools or glass before as a craft. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Seeing the pictures of our masterpieces, Gigha the patient tutor has people lined up to join the classes. Gigha has a lovely workshop with delicious lunch and refreshments. I would recommend Gigha's classes highly. Shanta Shah

What a creative day. I attended with my sister and we'd waited with anticipation for ages as Gigha's workshops are so popular. She was so patient, knowledgeable and relaxed. We both started off with quite a little apprehension and were thrilled when we got the hang of glass cutting. The choice of glass and other bits and bobs was simply tremendous. A crafters paradise! We were in heaven. There was all manner of teas and coffees available all day and a delicious lunch with cakes to follow. I can't wait to book again.

I attended two of Gigha well run courses, drift wood and making seagulls workshops.
Both were fun, but run with care and attention to detail, care taken at all time with health and saftey, and reminding you when things are hot or you need to be aware. The workshop itself is full of glassy goodness, so bring pennies as youll want to buy her beautiful creations x
All tools were there for all to use, and plentyfull too. Everything we needed, and no shortage of colours to choose from.
Dinner was fantastic! Jacket potato and yummy salad.
I attended both classes myself, and didnt feel at all left out, and had a really fun day both times, and ill be going back too x

I found the workshop on line, I booked two places for me and my husband.
Never been on a stained glass workshop, cutting glass was not easy.
Having spent some time doing the glass cutting, I chose my designs, Gigha has pieces made on a table and patterns in a folder. So many designs to choose from.
There is plently of choice of glass, and other bits to add to your work.
Lunch is included,plenty of drinks.
Its a mixed ability group, some people on their 3rd workshops. Gigha comes around and explains when you need to move on to the next stage.

Fantastic day. Gigha is a very relaxed tutor, and imparts her knowledge quietly and creatively. She worked very hard to give us a special experience. I’ve now been to many of Ghia’s courses, both Tiffany method copper foil & glass mosaic. I’m now completely & utterly hooked to glass thanks to Ghia's excellent teaching. The groups have a good mix of people & it’s always a friendly atmosphere & excellent lunch provided.
I have a tendency to arrive at the workshops with big ideas but limited know-how, but Ghia goes out of her way, above & beyond, to help you create your masterpiece. She is very enthusiastic & has a real love & knowledge of the subject. She is also generous in providing further advice & support in being able to buy correct/best equipment to carry on creating on your own away from her workshops.
I cannot recommend Ghia’s workshops enough! Give them a go & you’ll soon be hooked too.

My friend and I had a ball. A thoroughly enjoyable day. We came home with several excellent Xmas Decorations. Gigha was exceeding good. Her demonstrations were clear and she was happy to demonstrate again or to help out, but left you alone to get on with it. I can thoroughly recommend to anyone like me who isn't particularly crafty or to people who have a greater knowledge. The equipment and resources were plentiful. On top of that we had an excellent simple lunch with Jacket Potatoes and Salad and a few nibbles with plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits available at all times. I shall book another course shortly. Thank you very much. Marylyn

Totally recommend this course. I'm not great at craft work, but Gigha is a patient, wonderful teacher encouraging you to be ambitious and creative and do as much as you can yourself but stepping in when things look like they need rescuing! Came home with a beautiful tea light holder. Thanks Gigha x
