Nicky Davies reviewed: One day stained glass classes by Le Breton Traditional

"Really enjoyed the various classes I have done with Matt. He is a fantastic teacher - endlessly patient and encouraging. He manages to inspire you and make you feel you can do it....& in fact you discover you can! It is great to be able to take away a piece of artwork which you have made. I am NOT an artist but I was pleased with my efforts. Stained glass is a very absorbing hobby. I shall certainly do more in the future."

Caroline Powell reviewed: Fused glass - make a coral bowl

"I really enjoyed this course. Ros was very friendly and approachable. She went out of her way to ensure that I got as much out of my 3 hours as possible. She was excellent at teaching and I never felt rushed. I loved the one to one experience. I learnt so much about glass cutting, how to develope a design, types of glass, and glass grinding. I couldn't believe how quickly the time went. I came away having made a lovely moose Christmas decoration. I really recommend this course and intend to come back to learn more. Nice coffee and mince pies too! Thank you Caroline"

Michelle Brook-Woodcock reviewed: Willow Christmas reindeer

"Great day long course and everyone walked away with a fab handcrafted willow reindeer at the end of it. Victoria is very knowledgeable, approachable and accommodating with lots of tea/coffee and cakes/biscuits to keep you fuelled throughout the day. This is my second course with The Willow Barn and I can't wait to do a third! If you are thinking about going on this course - do it and give it a go, I don't think you will be disappointed."

Ray reviewed: Basket making in Norfolk

"What an absolutely fantastic day. From start to finish, Julie was extremely professional, knowledgeable, & amazingly patient with us all. Julie is clearly passionate about basket making, & this shows with her depth of knowledge, understanding of the materials being used & also her understanding of the learner themselves. It was a true pleasure to spend the day with Julie & the other participants, all openly sharing experiences & information with each other. Our baskets were all completed, & were so much better than I expected, with a great sturdy quality feel! Proof that Julie really knows her stuff, & is genuinely happy to share her knowledge, gained through many years of experience. Like minded people, doing like minded things, with a wonderful host. Thank you Julie."

David Williams-Jones reviewed: Wood turning tuition, New Forest, Hampshire (1 day) (2 people)

"The results of a half day of tuition were beyond expectation. Graham's simple, calming approach - and the trust that he showed in his raw novices as they tackled their first piece - not only meant that we had the opportunity to learn, hands on quickly but also to actually produce something that had the capacity to surprise the whole family. He instilled confidence throughout. A first rate experience, a great introduction to wood turning and well worth a long drive (twice in my case!) to get there."

Patricia Parker reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"Loved the workshop. Caroline is very generous in sharing her skills and ideas. Brilliant work room filled with loads of goodies to inspire you. Learn about the correct materials to use and glue, grout etc. Then you can start to create your own design knowing it will be made to last. Small informal group setting. Soup, tea and like minded people. Highly recommend this course."

Hanisha reviewed: Fused Glass Workshops for beginners & experienced

"Ali is a great mentor and has immense skills that she just wants to share. The value of the skills, knowledge and experience that you get is just brilliant value for money, not to mention the glass pieces that you have the pleasure of saying that you have made. I did it with adult friends and family who couldn't agree more about how calming and fun the experience was. Would recommend it to all who just want a brilliant time learning something new from a great teacher. Ali has amazing ideas and inspiration for making something come to life in your work. Would definitely recommend to all as a fun afternoon. And have been back myself and will be in the future"

Chris McAlpine reviewed: Beginners 10 week woodworking course NO LONGER RUNNING

"Wanted to do something different from sitting in the office all days so I signed up for Ciaran's 10 week beginners course with no preconceptions. Had an absolutely great time - Ciaran is an excellent teacher, patient, encouraging and really knowledgeable and experienced. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The group I was with were also great fun and really supportive of each other. Each week we built on our skills including learning sawing and planing techniques. We also learnt lots of hints and tips which I hope to put to good use in the future. The piece of furniture I produced over the course of the 10 weeks has given me confidence that I can do so much more. This is all down to Ciaran and the support and skills he has developed in me over the 10 weeks. I would thoroughly commend this to anyone wanting to learning hand woodworking skills."

Julie I reviewed: Needle felting course with Furzie at Saltisford Canal Trust, Warwick

"My first craft course ever and it was really fun. I felted a hare which I adore but which unfortunately gained the name "snot" when at home as it was discovered that you could put your finger up his nose; a design fault easily rectified although the name has stuck! The day flew by! :) I thought I wouldn't get anywhere near finishing but I was wrong. The course gave me all the skills and confidence to easily make a few final touches and adjustments when I got home . I found out that it is impossible to go wrong felting, absolutely any mistake is easily and quickly mended. I can't wait to get more wool and try to design another creature. Michelle was very friendly and patient and has given me a new hobby which I think I will love. Thank you :)"

Keith Gilbert reviewed: Clay modelling - sculpt a portrait head

"It's a great space, the light is wonderful and there's plenty of room to work. The tutoring is excellent. It's so helpful to have a long working session and a variety of models, three different ones so far. The classes are well attended, there's a range of abilities and a very positive atmosphere. So there's plenty of encouragement for anyone who's at all lacking in confidence or experience. I've been attending sculpture classes for a while, and for me this is the most interesting and the most enjoyable. And the fees are really competitive."

Abbey Stewart reviewed: Fused Glass Workshops for beginners & experienced

"Love glass fusing. Have now attended a few of Ali's sessions both in her workshop and at palmers. My little boy had his first session last week and loved it. You don't have to be creative or a perfectionist to get something that looks amazing. But there's always lots of inspiration in the workshop and Ali is full of help, ideas and patience. Would highly recommend"

Sarah Edgar reviewed: Four day intensive beginners woodwork course

"Just completed the 4 day beginners course, thanks to Ciaráns endless patience and guidance. The last time I attempted any type of woodworking was back in school, so I really was a beginner. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the workshop and has given me the confidence to work on home projects, which was my intention when I booked the course. Would highly recommend the beginners course, and it is my intention to start saving for the intermediate course as soon as possible! Thanks very much Ciarán!!"

Linda Stovell reviewed: Basket weaving for beginners - make a round basket

"This is the second time I have attended a willow weaving workshop with Emma. Although the first time visit in her new workshop. I'd arranged a two day course to make a log basket, I really enjoy weaving. Emma made tasty flapjacks and lots of coffee. At lunchtime we (sorry forgot to say 2 friends were with me) went for a little walk to see the beautiful Alpacas OMG so cute but so funny! Love the weaving, Emma is brilliant and loved the Alpacas. Made a mini break of it and stayed in New Quay (oyster cottage sea views - fantastic) what a lovely town!"

Stuart Mills reviewed: Firebird Forge Blacksmithing School

"I arranged a day at the forge for a group of the family to celebrate 2 60ths birthdays which had recently taken place. I think its fair to say we were a bit daunted at first as we had very little experience in forging however after a quick pep talk by mort and an introduction to the world of blacksmithing we were all soon very relaxed and enjoying ourselves. The day was very laid back and at the end of it we all came away with things we had made to show the rest of the family. A great way for us to get away from normal life and de-stress, making memories that we will talk about for years to come, aswell as learning a heap of interesting information about Blacksmiths and their traditional techniques! Mort is a very very talented individual with many different experiences and with the help of his apprentice Lawrence we were all looked after brilliantly! We all talked about coming back for another session so im sure its something we will be arranging over the next few months!"

Joanne reviewed: Stained Glass Nuno Felted Scarves Online Class

"I have had a really lovely day making a wet felted 3d Christmas Stocking with Lena. An extremely informative course where I and the other participants all achieved success. We had our own ideas about what we wanted and with the excellent tuition and support from Lena who is so knowledgeable of the felting technique produced what we hoped to. I am planning another visit to Lena's studio and would whole heartedly recommend her courses to others."
