"Angie was an excellent tutor, very generous with sharing her ideas and materials. Would do another course with her any time. Good to find a new venue within reasonable distance although classroom was a little cramped and the course a bit more expensive than usual. An inspiring day."

Liz Regan reviewed: Pottery/ceramics wheel throwing (full day)

"This day was totally brilliant! I had no experience of ceramics and pottery before going however, I felt like a champion by the time I left. Lorraine's teaching is outstanding. As part of a small group, she encouraged us all, helped change wonky pots into masterpieces and by the end of the day, I had 6 pots - 4 that I had thrown on a pottery wheel and 2 that had been created via molds, and all of them I would be proud to put on my dining room table. I would recommend this day without reservation. I felt so totally relaxed by the end - it was like a creative therapy - an amazing mental, emotional and creative boost!"

Judith Harper reviewed: Screenprinting weekend with Liam Biswell

"Hello Liam, Thank you so very much for delivering such a wonderful printing course on the 10th and 11th June at The Phoenix Studio. You introduced so many printing options and explained the techniques thoroughly, with useful ideas on how to set up at home without incurring too much expense. It was very much a "hands on " experience with a practical emphasis. The group all achieved so much which was thanks to your leadership yet your manner was relaxed and informal. The Phoenix Studio also offers a great venue.I certainly learnt a great deal and, although I cannot attend your course in July, please keep me posted. Kind regards Judith Harper"

Fiona Illingworth reviewed: Throwing & hand-building pottery workshops £64 per person for 2 hour workshop

"I wanted to have a go at both throwing and hand building pottery but I live a hectic life and cannot always commit to a class on a set day and time every week. I love the flexibility that I enjoy with Catherine. She fits me when I can come along and her easy going approach suits me perfectly. I felt immediately at home in her studio. I love the fact that every piece doesn't have to be perfect. I learn as I go but it doesn't matter if it goes wrong. It is a lot of fun! I have so much to learn but feel I can learn in a cosy and safe environment, at my own pace and in my own time. I never want the sessions to end."

Tom reviewed: Weekend introductory blacksmithing course 'O' at Quinnell School of Blacksmithing

"The course was very well organised, with plenty of assistance from others, as well as from Peat. The items we made were well selected to demonstrate a wide variety of techniques, and the instructions and instructor were both very clear and simple. Peat provided plenty of background information on the subject, as well as expert advice on perfecting your technique. He was so enthusiastic about his work, and always keen to share his experiences in the art. I enjoyed the course so much, I bought myself a forge and anvil within a month of completing it!"

Michele Eden reviewed: Mosaic one day workshop for adults with Caroline Jariwala, Birmingham

"Caroline is an amazing and inspirational artist and it's wonderful to see how she has used mosaic in her home. I'd seen images of her work in Chile, and the projects she has completed over here, and also the very helpful YouTube videos, what a woman! If you go to one of her classes you can be sure of success as she guides you through the design process and the shaping of pieces for your own work. It's much more than that though, because you're also encouraged to have fun while she keeps her artists eye on you, giving just the right advice and help. Shell - 25/6/17"

Carolyn and Gordon Raybould reviewed: Woodturning courses in Norfolk

"We had an amazing day with Nick. I contacted him as we were coming to Norfolk for a holiday and asked if he could fit two of us in together. Nick was able to arrange this and we spent the morning getting used to the tools and then, after a lovely lunch provided by Jane, we produced our lovely bowls. We posted these on Facebook and have had a great response, saying how professional they look. Nick is a great teacher, very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Great sense of humour and makes a great cup of tea!!"
