Termly Courses in Watford and Letchworth and one-to-one VIP days in Watford
A range of techniques will be covered each term culminating in a quilt or wallhanging or a range of smaller projects. The skills include rotary cutting, getting the best from your sewing machine, making colour choices, hand and machine piecing, hand and machine quilting, applique and basic construction methods.
Classes run a half day a week over 10 or 12 weeks in Watford WD17, on Tuesday evenings, 7.00 – 9.30pm and Thursday mornings, 9.30am – 12.00. Other times may be available! And in Letchworth on Tuesday mornings, 9.45 - 12.15 and Wednesday evenings 7.00 – 9.30pm.
VIP days allow you to focus on an area of your choice. Taking my lead from what you want to achieve, I will tailor the day entirely to your needs and interests.
Additionally, I run occasional workshops outside of term time at each venue. Recent workshops have included "Colour Theory for Quilters"; "Beyond the Ditch" - taking your quilting away from the ditch and taking advantage of your walking foot, decorative stitches and a host of other ideas and "Christmas Creations Table Runner". Supported UFO days where you can bring your own project and have my support are also a regular event.
Classes in Watford are very small (maximum of 4 people in each class) so that you get lots of individual attention and opportunities to develop at your own pace.
In Letchworth, classes take place at The Settlement, a wonderful independent Adult Education centre, and are for a maximum of 12 people.
