Maheesha Shantha reviewed: *New Silver metal clay mask pendant workshop

"I took my sister & myself to make this silver mask workshop. We have never made silver clay before but Scarlett very nice and very friendly & explained to help us & make it easy for us to learn. We cannot believe how beautiful this mask pendant is. We would like to say to people that you will have a very good day & take home a very beautiful thing. We do not speak good english & Scarlett was very good with us. We will come back soon to make a bracelet. Love from Maheesha & Sanujana Shantha"

Scarlets Fairy Folk responded:

"Thank you for your review girls, considering neither of you had ever used silver clay before you both did very well making the mask pendants. You should be very proud of yourselves. I could see you were both very nervous at first and I am so happy your nerves subsided very quickly and we had a lovely day. Looking forward to seeing you at a bracelet workshop when it is safe from the C virus to do so. S x"

Nicola ?? reviewed: Garden wall mosaic course

"I really enjoyed my day making mosaic. I learnt everything to do with the whole process and as I did a larger piece I needed to finish it at home. We had lots of support and encouragement. We were actively encouraged to mix adhesive so we knew the correct consistency and allowed to take some powders and glass home to complete the piece. Emailed instructions and supplier information sent afterwards so no excuse not to complete my project. Thank you Kate."

Ian reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Beginners glass fusing workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"The craft day was very rewarding. Value for money excellent, I was surprised at how much you could do with decorating. A good idea of what you want to do is a must as I got lost in knowing what to do with so much choice. At the end of the day I had up to 5 items finished."

"I absolutely loved this candle making course. I came home relaxed, informed and motivated. Sarah took the time to explain everything properly and ran the course brilliantly. We made five different types of candles and got to take everything home. The classes are small which made for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It was great value and I’d definitely do it again!"

Marie Grele reviewed: Stone set rings workshop

"From start to finish this has been he best workshop I have taken. The venue was lovely, tools and equipment in abundance. Jo was very warm, helpful and so relaxed in her approach. We all received a details booklet with instructions to take away. The tuition was amazing, Jo helped us all when we needed it and gave very clear instructions. We weren't rushed and we all completed our beautiful rings. I didn't think it was possible to make such lovely rings first time around. I would highly recommend this course. I booked immediately for the wave ring course and can't wait to attend. Amazing day."

Joanne Tinley Jewellery responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Marie! It was a pleasure having you in the workshop, and I am so impressed with the lovely rings everyone made. I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon!"

John Bartlett reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"I’ve always been fascinated with glass blowing and was so excited when I was bought a voucher for my birthday. The studio was well equipped and Ricky was an excellent tutor and explained every process in great detail. I made 4 pieces and was given many options for each of them, I made a paper weight, tea light holder, ornament and vase. I can’t wait to be told they are ready to collect so that I can see the final results. If you are interested in glass works and glass blowing this is definitely the course for you and it’s great value for money."

Stuart Jackson reviewed: Stamping, embossing & wet-moulding leather

"I would like to thank Wendy and Clive for the recent wet moulding course I attended, leather work courses are few and far between and it was a shame only two people turned up for this course as although only a half day course there is still enough time to cover different aspects, and come away with some quality items, it's a very enjoyable old craft, and a lot can be learned from a hands on course, I hope to make the journey for more of their courses in the future"

Evancliffe Leathercraft responded:

"Thank you for the review. It was a shame that the course was not full, however we are currently in challenging and strange times. The afternoon workshop was full and we actually put on an extra workshop in the evening for two health workers looking to do something crafty. We were very pleased to help out there, that is for sure. We have currently postponed our next workshop (Hand Bound Jouirnal) and will advise on other workshops in line with the advice we are being given nearer to their scheduled date. Any bookings made will be transferable to another workshop. We do expect high demand once this is over. So if you like thelook of something, just book it safe in the knowledge that if we have to postpone we will simply move the booking to a later date and anyone already booked will be first in the queue. Keep enjoying your leatherwork and it was great to see the photos you have posted on our facebook page!"

Dawn is a fabulous teacher, patient and friendly and I can’t wait to spend another day at Stitched up and Fleeced."

Tony Baker reviewed: French Polishing & Woodcare - 2 Day Beginners/Intermediate Workshop

"Having travelled from north London to attend this course it was always going to be a gamble that it would live up to the previous reviews and be worth the cost. It was, I learned what I needed to carry on my hobby of furniture restoration and very useful tips on what supplies were needed and how to apply them. Oliver is very good at teaching in a relax informal way and I would highly recommend this course to anyone that wants to learn some of the ways of French polishing."

Emma reviewed: Pottery throwing taster on The Potters Wheel (temporarily suspended due to social distancing restrictions)

"My family really enjoyed our pottery taster session! There were 5 of us in total, and Sharron did a great job teaching us how to use the potters wheel and make tiles. We were all in the same room which made it fun to see what everyone was up to. And as a previous reviewer said - time does fly by! Also Sharon provided many sweet treats, and her chocolate cake was amazing! We were really touched as this was a birthday treat, and Sharon put up birthday banners and bunting around which was lovely. So big thanks to Sharon for making it special :)"

"Brilliant course, I really enjoyed it. The setting is wonderful and very welcoming. Lou was a great teacher and obviously knew her stuff. "Candle Marking Course – 14 March – am I thoroughly enjoyed the course and felt that Sarah kept the pace of instructions and demonstrations perfectly in a relaxed atmosphere. Following the course, Sarah took the time and effort to email photographs from the day together with an informative candle making guide including a list of suggested suppliers for materials and equipment. Julia Brooker reviewed: Green Wood Chair Making - 6 Day Woodworking Course in South Devon

"I had always wanted to make a chair- and after 6 days with Peter and his assistants and the other makers.. I came away with a beautiful chair I'm proud of. I got lots of friendly help- I'd never used a chisel before. We used mainly ash with cherry wood or oak details. Green wood ash has a lovely almost silvery sheen. This course is for everyone who wants to start with an axe and ivy clad log and ending up with a hand made and amazingly comfortable chair that will surely become a family heirloom! See my chair on Instagram atJuliaBrookerStudio- if you like wood you'll love it"

Anita de Souza reviewed: Mindful Mosaic workshops with Dionne Ible - Bedfordshire

"I had never done Mosaic art before and was invited by Dionne to her class during a half-term school holiday. I attended the course with my two children and my niece aged 5, 7 and 21. To my surprise, it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a very long time. I had no expectations because it was all very new to me but what a great session we all had. I loved the way Dionne taught the class and it was a lovely environment. The kids really enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to doing more mosaic work in the future. It was great to see that this is a course that can be attended by the whole family and of different age ranges. I have already informed Dionne that we will be attending the next session she holds during the school holidays. I would definitely recommend Dionne and this course."

"What a week that was! An absolute delight working in my favourite material with like minded people. Peter is the most sensitive, patient and skilful tutor with a lovely sense of humour and a band of dedicated helpers including his lovely family. This is more than a craft workshop; it is a retreat, a meditation in wood and a joyous social experience with a lasting practical outcome."

Brooke reviewed: Stone carving - Carve a garden planter or bird bath in Bath stone – a two day creative stone carving workshop with Zoe Singleton

"I booked the 2 day stone carving course for my mum's birthday. My husband liked the look of it too, so the 3 of us booked on the course in February. What a great couple of days. It's funny how you can spend all day stood next to each, but hardly talk as you get so engrossed in what you're doing. When you start with a solid block of stone, you can't quite believe you'll have a completed piece by the end it, but we did and were really pleased with what we produced. Zoe was great at showing what needed to be done, ensuring everyone stayed on track and provided help where needed. Zoe's workshop is in a great location, set up to run small group sessions. It was lovely to see some of her sculptures in the workshop too. A very talented lady :o) We were very well fed and watered on both days. Zoe and Paul supplied great home cooked lunches along with tasty cakes and biscuits. We all really enjoyed the weekend and would love to come back and try the letter carving course."
