My family really enjoyed our pottery taster session! There were 5 of us in total, and Sharron did a great job teaching us how to use the potters wheel and make tiles. We were all in the same room which made it fun to see what everyone was up to. And as a previous reviewer said - time does fly by!

Also Sharon provided many sweet treats, and her chocolate cake was amazing! We were really touched as this was a birthday treat, and Sharon put up birthday banners and bunting around which was lovely.

So big thanks to Sharon for making it special :)

My wife and I had a fantastic pottery experience with Sharon. Neither of us had any real previous experience and Sharon was very patient as a teacher. Made us feel relaxed and enjoyed every minute. The 2hr lesson flies by but is enough to give you a good flavour of the art. By the end you feel pretty tired. We loved the half time home made cakes! Thank you so much.

Response from Sharon Pottery Classes:

David ,it was great to meet you and Linda,. I'm glad the experience met with your expectations and you felt 'relaxed.' I hope you were not too tired and a bit of cake helped to boost the energy levels half time! I'm sure you will be doing more! Thanks again, Sharon.

My daughter had a fantastic time making pots this week. Sharon was really helpful and made us feel very welcome - I would definitely recommend this class to anyone wanting to give pottery a try. My daughter can't wait to collect her pots once they have been fired.

Response from Sharon Pottery Classes:

Thank you,..It was really lovely working with your daughter as she was so keen and confident.
I hope she is able to wait a bit for the pots as they take a bit of time to process! Thanks again and for the kind recommendation.

Thank you Sharon for the taster session today in throwing a pot, you were generous with your time and knowledge, we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and surprised, with your expertise, to be able to make a decent Pot! Thanks again, will definitely have a go at weaving wicker next time.

I can’t believe that I, a complete beginner, used wet clay on a pottery wheel and made some bowls - a bit wonky but recognisable bowls. Thrilled!
Thank you to Sharon for the warm welcome and the friendly guidance for the pottery taster session. Highly recommend.

Response from Sharon Pottery Classes:

Thanks Sharon for your review. It was great to see how quickly the beginners fears dissolved with enjoyment taking over! Glad it was a positive experience and met with your expectations for your husbands surprise birthday treat!

My sister and I had a lovely morning with Sharon, learning to ‘throw’. It was great to have personal tutition. We both felt like we made progress within the two hour session and had a great time! The drive from SE london was super easy - so nice to “escape to the country” for the morning. Really recommend. ps. The carrot cake is delicious!

Response from Sharon Pottery Classes:

Thanks so much Becky and Leah. I am glad you enjoyed your morning and you certainly progressed over the time. It was lovely to meet you both and share aspects of this absorbing craft.
It was good to know that travelling from South East London was easy 35 mins!

Today, my 12 year old daughter and I had a wonderful introduction to throwing pots on the wheel. We both made some lovely useable pots and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Sharon was a great teacher and was very patient. We enjoyed cakes and mini easter eggs during the break which was a nice touch, and we would thoroughly recommend a taster session.

Response from Sharon Pottery Classes:

Thanks for the lovely review, it was great to work with you both and see mother and daughter together making progress and comparing your efforts!

My husband and I had a wonderful morning learning how to throw a pot with Sharon. We were warmly welcomed with coffee and biscuits before being introduced to the potters wheel. After a quick demo it was then hands on, and to our amazement we did actually end up with bowls that we could be proud of for our first attempts. Many thanks, we had a great time.

Response from Sharon Pottery Classes:

Thanks so much Jane for your review, it was a pleasure to meet you and your husband and literally watch your confidence grow as the potting went on during the morning. I am glad you were pleased with the experience.
