Stamping, embossing & wet-moulding leather

Description

This half day course will introduce you to the principles of stamping, embossing, wet-moulding and dying leather through the making of your own hand dyed leather keyring, bookmark (or hair barrette) and wet-moulded leather bowl. A hands on course during which you will learn how to stamp, emboss, wet-mould & dye vegetable tanned leather to make three separate items. Closed toe footwear should be worn. If you wish to protect your clothing (from dye etc.) please bring a suitable apron. (Due to Covid-19 we are aware that some students would prefer to do this workshop as either a 1-2-1 or in a family group. We can offer this by prior arrangement on mutually agreed dates. The price includes tuition, use of the tools and materials including the leather, paper etc. Hot drinks & snacks will be provided.
