Gail TB reviewed: Introduction to green wood craft - a two day course

"I rarely write reviews, but this course was really great (attended in Feb 2020). The combination of spending a day in the woods bringing some trees back under coppice management, plus creating a stool from the wood that would be produced, gave a real breadth to the topic. Dave and the volunteers were all really supportive and lovely. I was an absolute beginner and feared some sexism, but there was none of that. They just patiently explained how to use a saw etc as though it's entirely normal to have never handled any tools. I really recommend this."

Filip Lazic reviewed: Introduction to leatherwork with Armitage Leather

"I have spent two days on a beginners course. Nigel is very experienced and knowledgeable which is great in itself, and he is a great teacher as well. I found Nigel excellent at sharing the knowledge, while being very patient. Made me feel very welcome there. Communication was timely, clear and efficient. In the two days, I learned a lot about stitching, pattern making, tools - the whole process of making a leather item from initial idea to finish. It was a exceptional experience, I will be back to learn more soon. I'm very happy that I found Armitage Leather!"

Carolyn reviewed: 1-to-1 Organic Skincare Workshop at Maid in the Meadow

"I enjoyed my day with Alison. The morning is a lot of information - there is science and maths and these are not my strong points! I was really pleased with the products that I made in the afternoon. I think that Alison 'misses a trick' - she should have some products for people to buy. I would have brought a few more! I am hoping that one day we will laugh about us wearing masks and gloves but that doesn't seem likely at the moment - I see on her website that she has decided to close for a couple of months, so please book for later in the year!"

Chao reviewed: Stone carving courses in central London

"I would highly recommend anyone who is considering whether to go on this course to just go ahead and book it! Communication about the course was excellent - prompt reply to emails and lots of useful information provided. The actual course was superb, Sam and Josh were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Good degree of supervision given with lots of one on one time, and I felt the projects were set at an appropriate level of difficulty for us. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time and will definitely be telling my friends and family about this!"

Helen reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"I’m still in the calm/content state the weekend put me in! The beautiful outdoor setting was conducive to being creative, the tuition was informative and supportive yet we were all encouraged to express ourselves in a unique manner. I nearly didn’t attend the weekend as I had a plaster cast on my broken ankle but Sebastian couldn’t have done more for me to ensure I was able to participate effectively. I had a foot rest to keep my leg elevated, very easy access to the tools I needed and he kept an eye on my progress so I didn’t need to get up to seek help. We all agreed that we would return in the future for another workshop as we felt it was good value for money and were all delighted with our creations. If you are considering doing a creative workshop I would wholeheartedly recommend you book this one, you won’t regret it."

Sharon Waller reviewed: Silver and Polymer Clay combo at West Country Creative in Lifton, Devon

"Had a really great day with Jo yesterday. Lovely peaceful surroundings and a great, bright and pleasant workshop to work in. Watched lots of squirrels and rabbits playing in the woods. Not my first time working with Jo but I always learn something different. Came away with some lovely pieces (more than expected). Jo is very helpful and patient and offers great guidance - would recommend her workshops if you haven't already attended any. Left feeling very happy and relaxed."

Cathy Fagan reviewed: Create with a gel printing plate in Derbyshire

"Lovely day spent with Liz learning Gelli Printing in a lovely light space and beautiful setting. We had plenty of time to experiment with different techniques and were encouraged all the way. The course was set at the right pace and for the right number of people. Can't wait to have a go at home and use alongside other crafts/printing projects. Would highly recommend the course and Liz's hospitality."

Stuart Crawford reviewed: Bladesmithing Weekend

"My wife got me this experience as a Christmas present due to my Forged in fire addiction (beats Love Island). I had a properly ace day being taught an unknown skill by really friendly and truly talented smiths. You;ll keep all fingers and thumbs, don't worry they've got you covered ?. The blade I came away with is now pride of place on my cheese board. I will definitely be going back for the two day course at some point!"

Michael horsburgh reviewed: Bladesmithing experience day

"What a great day! Turned up made to feel at ease and comfortable straight away. Steve was a great teacher, guiding and mentoring throughout the day, and I made a knife that I'm proud of. + there was loads of cups of tea so an added bonus. But all together I would give this 5 out of 5 stars, and recommend it to anyone that would listen."

White Tiger Knives responded:

"Hi Mike Thank you very much for your review. It's a pleasure to see how much enjoyment guys get from making thier own knife. I really believe that there's not a more personal, tactile and versatile tool that you can own and to make that one for yourself just puts the cherry on the top. ATB Steve"
