Margaret reviewed: Sew a fabric covered notebook

"My first time. An absolutely wonderful afternoon. A great deal of thought went in to this. Everything was covered with step by step instructions. Materials carefully arranged on display, giving ideas and easy access. A good supply of materials. It was paced well - with all taking home a completed book cover. Equally, the company was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere relaxed. The course was inexpensive. I travelled a long way and it was worth it. I've booked 2 more courses, one with my young granddaughter. "

Craft Circle responded:

"Hi Margaret, thanks for your lovely review and for coming along to the workshop. It's always great to make something new, and we hope to see you and your granddaughter again soon. All the best..."

"What a fun and educational experience. I managed to complete my stool makeover with Sarah's step by step guidance and excellent advice. The day flew by with a steady stream of tea and biscuits and the company of lovely supportive fellow students. I have the bug and already booked further sessions for a bigger project. I had no prior knowledge and limited craft experience, but Sarah was very patient and encouraging. "

Fio Adamson reviewed: Green Wood Creative Seating - 6 Day Course in South Devon

"I really enjoyed the course. Peter has enormous patience with skilled woodworkers and those less experienced alike. He helped me to revise the design I had come with to be more practical and I came away with something lovely I could be proud of. There was help, support and guidance every step of the way but I still felt that I had contributed my own work and learnt a great deal from the process. Peter and his apprentice helped the participants to create a supportive atmosphere in the workshop."

Mark Leonard reviewed: Wood carving one day tester

"This is a wonderful three-day wood carving experience. Sebastian is an extremely helpful, highly knowledgeable and experienced tutor, with an in-depth knowledge of carving techniques and materials. His teaching style is relaxed, patient, and very supportive, which makes learning pleasurable and accessible to all skill levels, from complete beginners to those looking to improve. The class is very hands-on with a practical approach and plenty of guidance. Sebastian strikes a good balance between providing instruction and allowing students the freedom to explore their own ideas and create unique pieces. This course was very enjoyable, rewarding, and inspiring, creating a friendly atmosphere among all the students. I came away from this experience feeling more confident and knowledgeable about my new carving skills, plus surprise and pride at what I was able to achieve by the end of the course."

SBCW responded:
