Sew a hexagon needle case using EPP English Paper Piecing
Try your hand at English Paper Piecing. You'll learn two methods of creating your fabric hexagons - stitching and glue basting. These can be arranged in all sorts of shapes, but the classic is the "hexie flower". You'll learn two different ways of stitching these together - by hand sewing or machine sewing. Please bring your own sewing machine if you would like to learn both methods. If you would like a quick and easy project to finish on the day, then you can applique your hexie flower onto a felt needle case. Or keep making hexagons and start to attach them together into a larger project like a cushion cover (or the start of a quilt).
What's included in the price?
All materials (fabric and paper hexagons) are included in this workshop. Just bring your sewing machine (and thread) if you would like to learn that method. If you would prefer to bring your own fabric, such as favourite colours or keepsake fabric, that's no problem at all. Just let us know when you book your place, and we can let you know what you need to bring. ** We are a small charity devoted to getting people into craft. We aim to keep our workshop price as low as possible in order to make it as accessible as we can. We are always taking in donations of fabric and craft supplies, which we put towards future projects. So if you are clearing out your cupboards, please feel free to bring anything to the session that needs a new home. **
