Alexander reviewed: Wood joints class using reclaimed materials

"I spent a day with Tyler on one of his courses together with 4 others who'd also booked in with him. I've done a little carpentry in the past when I used to work with roofing but that was all pretty crude compared to the skills that Tyler teaches on his course so I largely felt like I was a complete beginner coming into the workshop. We spent the day learning how to make various different joints which are the fundamentals of any wood working project and while we made these joints, he gave us a whole range of tips and tricks on how to do it well, these skills ultimately carrying over into many other areas of woodwork. It was a lot of new information but Tyler taught in a way that stuck and I left feeling competent with what had been taught, Tyler himself is a very friendly / helpful / patient guy so the course was a lot of fun too and I was happy with the work I managed to achieve. I definitely recommend this course to anyone whether you're completely new or experienced (as some of the others were) we all learned many new skills by the end of the day."

Lucy reviewed: Durham soap making workshop

"I had a delightful class with Claire where she gently and enthusiastically taught me the principles of soap making. The whole time I was kindly offered refreshments, if I was comfortable and even kinder, our session was relocated to better fit my accomodations. The whole experience was amazing, I left with plenty of unique and great smelling soap and relaxed through the great conversations and calming atmosphere. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to put a personal stamp on their scent collection and as an amazing de-stresser."

Jacquie reviewed: Woodturning 2 day workshop

"This was a gift for my husband's 70th. Andy's communication from pre-booking to post course was excellent. Wood turning was a craft my husband had not done before, though always wanted to. Andy's excellent engaging tuition and wealth of knowledge has inspired my husband to continue wood turning, (when he gets the correct tools and a lathe!). He came home with 2 beautifully turned bowls of which he is rightly proud! Andy and Mary's friendly hospitality was the icing on the tasty home baked cake! Highly recommended. "

Helen Garwood reviewed: Large outdoor plaster hare sculpture kit

"My daughter bought me the large hare kit for mothers day. It was the most perfect gift! Everything I needed to create a glorious hare, who now sits proudly in my garden. Jo's instructions were very clear and easy to follow and her after sale service is excellent. I made my hare over a weekend, I loved how you could shape it to your own preferred stance, and so make something truly your own. Absolutely wonderful!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much Helen! Your lovely hare sat in your garden for 4 years before a small accident - now lovingly restored by yourself back to former glory! Well done 🤗🙌 Jo x"

Trudy K reviewed: Mosaic/chat/create! with award winning mosaicist Emma Abel

"Emma explained in detail about mosaic techniques/patterns, how to cut/glue tiles, how to simplify your choice of picture so laying the pieces formed the shape you wanted. She was on hand to give any help needed and provided a cuppa/cake whenever. What I enjoyed most was that Emma guided you but gave free rein in colours/designs, only advising if needed, so you had your own individual piece of work at end of day. Her selection of tiles and colours were incredible. I was like a kid in a sweet shop and enjoyed everything."

abelmosaics responded:

"Thanks very much Trudy, I'm so glad you enjoyed the day. Your cockerel worked out very well, with great choice of colours."

Jan Hiscock reviewed: Willow Plant Supports (1 day) in the Peak District

"Completely 5 star from beginning to end! Alison and Ed, who ran the course, where completely lovely and so helpful. I never could have believed I'd be able to make a 6ft garden support, let alone 2!! The day was absolutely great from beginning to end, meet some wonderful people on the course and it all took place in an idyllic 'to die for garden' with fabulous views. Having the company of nosey chicken's was also a bonus, as was the food, which was non-stop and completely delicious, I'm sure I'll be booking another willow weaving course again soon. "

Zantium Studios Ltd responded:

"Thankyou Jan! All such lovely feedback and music to our ears. Come again soon!"
