Gain glassblowing skills and exercise your creativity while in the presence of experienced glassblowing artists! Explore an array of vibrant colours to use in your glass and get experimental with grand silver and copper leaf! You are guaranteed to make and take two of the following glassware ornaments and art pieces: - Christmas Bauble - Paperweight - Bowl (suction bowls are really fun to create!) Learn how to safely and comfortably heat molten glass in a 1100 degree furnace and master how to gather and remove your glass from the furnace with historical hand-forged tools. Now blow and form your glass! It's time to cool off! Cooling your glass is just as captivating and essential as heating your molten glass. End the workshop learning how to cool your glass like a glassmaking pro! With a mixture of step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on guidance, you can learn through trying each technique yourself with the guidance of your encouraging teacher! Take home and display with pride your two original glass pieces! You will leave this workshop with a comprehensive understanding of glass blowing approaches, methods and techniques as well as a thirst to keep creating and expanding this skill!
