Catherine reviewed: Blacksmithing taster days (half day)

"My son took part in a half day workshop making a drink holder and bottle opener. He's only 15 and wanted to see if Blacksmithing was something for him. He really enjoyed the whole experience and was very pleased with the end result too. The course was very well organised and he learnt lots of new skills. It gave him just a taste of something he now wants to take further. We will be booking a 1 day course some time soon. 100% recommend this experience!"

LJB reviewed: Garden/ Outdoor mosaic kit: Dragonfly Circle hanging garden decoration

"This order has still not arrived - 7 days since I was told it had shipped. Have contacted seller but have not had a reply. Very disappointing."

Primrose Mosaics responded:

"Unfortuntely this parcel seems to have been lost by Royal Mail, hence its non arrival. I did take some time off over a weekend, when the message was sent, but responded to the customer and sent another kit immediately, as I do highly value customer satisfaction - sadly, this 1 star review had already been left, so is not a reflection on the quality of the product. I would encourage other customers to get in contact if you have a problem, I can assure you I will be only to happy to sort it out for you. Jacquie"

Sam reviewed: Hand forged rustic knife course

"I bought the knife making course for my boyfriend for Christmas & he took part in the course yesterday. He thoroughly enjoyed the whole course, learnt lots of new things & enjoyed the one to one tuition with Andy. He loved it that much, he said he wanted to make another knife straightaway so he could practise what he had learnt! I have already purchased the axe making course for his birthday to try next time & he is looking forward to that! Would highly recommend."

Laura reviewed: Jewellery making with Precious Metal Silver Clay - Full Day Workshop

"This was a brilliant day and thoroughly enjoyed. Charlotte is a very skilled tutor and I felt I had lots of time to come up and refine my ideas (helped by the many gorgeous pictures of previous course participants' creations!) and to practise with playdough before creating my pieces in silver clay. She is patient, very informative, warm and friendly. I love my jewellery and am looking forward to investing in silver clay tools and materials to carry on creating at home. Highly recommended and thank you again!"

Felix & Reuben Jewellery School responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review Laura, it was an absolute pleasure to teach you all about silver clay. The jewellery you made on the day was beautiful - well done! I look forward to seeing what you go on to create at home! Regards, Charlotte"

Kerry Bradley reviewed: Macrame workshop

"I attended my first ever Macramé workshop yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was slightly nervous beforehand as I am not very crafty and thought it looked quite difficult. I couldn't have been more wrong. Tunde, our teacher was so lovely, knowledgeable, interesting and so patient. I actually made a beautiful Macramé wall hanging in one afternoon. It was so relaxing and therapeutic too. I will definitely be attending again. I am so glad that I went because I avoided workshops in the past because I didn't think I could do it, with a good teacher it is amazing what you can learn in a short time. Amazing value for money and all materials were supplied as well.Kerry Bradley Thank you Tunde x"

TK Textiles - Workshops responded:

"Thank you so much for the kind words. We did have a really fab Sunday afternoon crafting and your wallhanging is so beautiful, you should be very proud of yourself. Many thanks, kindest regards x"

Cameron Lightfoot reviewed: 2 Day forged chef's knife course.

"Where to start really; the course was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish Steve was patient with my learning, enthusiastic about what I will be able to achieve and incredibly giving with his time and expertise. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and this was next level. The whole process from start to finish was great and seeing something both functional and aesthetically appealing come out at the end is a little mind blowing, as Steve says - “you wont leave here with something that just looks like a knife, it will be a knife”. Steve has really got something special going and I would throughly encourage anyone with an interest in blade smithing to book this course immediately, I can’t imagine you’d ever regret it. I will most certainly be back for another go."

White Tiger Knives responded:

"Hi Cameron Thank you very much for your kind words, I'm really happy that you enjoyed your two days in the shop with me so much. The knife that you created really is something a little special and will always be a talking point. Not only that I know that it will serve you well in the kitchen as well and like we discussed these tools really are functional pieces of art. I look forward to our next instalment in the shop and I'm getting my legal team to prepare a disclaimer just in case you decide to disappear down the knifemaking rabbit hole. Kind regards Steve"

Ruth reviewed: Take raw fleece to finished fibre 2-day spinning workshop

"This is an excellent course. It was worth every penny and the long drive. Elaine is a first class teacher and her extensive knowledge ensure that everyone is successful and leaves with the skills to prepare and spin their own yarns. The small size of the group (3), ensures that individual tuition can be given, alongside exploring at your own pace. Elaine’s studio is an inspiration, full of books, fleeces, equipment and spinning wheels! It was really enjoyable and I was disappointed that we couldn’t continue for a 3rd day. Thanks Elaine. (We stayed in an AirBnb in Grange over Sands, about 15 minutes away by car - a perfect base)."

Cartmel Handspun Spinning School responded:

"Thank you Ruth for your thoughtful review. It was a privilege to meet and work with you. I'm so happy to once again be able to pass on the knowledge and skills for others to be able to enjoy the wonderful art of hand spinning."

"We’ve just spent a very enjoyable day learning how to create amazing Lino-print pictures. We now have new skills, 12 lovely new pieces for our walls and the knowledge to continue with Lino-printing as a hobby at home. Judith’s tips for home crafting are invaluable and she both gave us the space to try our own styles and made us feel that anything was possible. Thank you!"

Andy reviewed: Creative metalwork and welding, scrap metal sculpture.

"We were a small group of friends (mid fifties, male and female) looking for a metal working experience. Annie and Felix were wonderful teachers who provided guidance and encouragement throughout the day. We wanted to weld, plasma cut and grind. We all left with dirty cheeks and a creation. Recommended. A safe and enclusive environment."

lesley cooper reviewed: Silver metal clay taster course

"Really relaxed and fun way to try a new activity. I don't consider myself talented at all in 'craft' of any sort but I came home with 3 lovely pieces of jewellery that I will be proud to wear and say I made myself. Michelle was happy to help where needed but also let us 'have a go' so that we could learn and try out ideas. I would definitely book another course . I also feel it's good value."

Buttercup Jewellery responded:

"Thanks so much for making the journey over to Austrey, Lesley. It was lovely to see you grow in confidence as the session went on. Your pieces were gorgeous - so you should definitely wear them with pride and I'm very glad you feel the course offers good value for money. ? I hope to see you again in the future! Michelle x"
