Silver Metal Clay Taster Course

Hoop textured earrings

Would you like to make your own fine silver jewellery? This taster workshop will introduce you to the amazing material - silver metal clay.

Metal clay is incredibly easy to work with, can be shaped and textured and once dry can be kiln fired. After a few minutes the clay magically transforms into 99% pure silver. This can then be polished to a sparkly finish. In this three hour class you will learn the basics of metal clay making and will be shown how to make a textured fine silver pendant and matching dangly ear-rings.

A mixture of textures and shapes will be available for you to use. The price includes the use of all equipment, 7g of metal clay, jump rings, a 45cm sterling silver chain and 1 pair of ear-wires. Depending on the thickness you choose for your clay you will be able to make at least one pendant and a pair of ear-rings.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the morning. At the end of the class you will take your completed pieces home.

This is a lovely opportunity to relax and learn a new skill.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
