The course is based on practical work, combining lectures and workshops with manageable homework assignments and one-to-one portfolio advice. You will be provided with client briefs, and be expected to research and develop a design scheme, and produce presentation and construction documents. The course will cover: • practical research • space planning • mood boards • sample boards • construction drawings • fixtures, fittings and equipment documentation (FF&E) • basic Sketchup skills and knowledge • basic Vectorworks skills and knowledge • an understanding of interior design project stages • an understanding of building regulations. What will I gain? By the end of the course, you’ll have the start of a professional looking portfolio for you to continue adding to after the course.
