About the Course
Spend a relaxing day here at Flatford Mill, learning the skills of enamelling to create beautiful jewellery. You will learn how to fuse glass to metal, using pre-cut copper blanks which make fantastic pendants or earrings.
By the end of this one-day class you will have made around 3 pieces, which make perfect handcrafted Christmas presents for family and friends. Your tutor Toni Peers, will guide you throughout the day to enable you to create your own designs.
This class is aimed at both beginners and improvers, so if you’ve been on one of Toni’s classes before do come along and add to your existing skills.
Toni Peers has been teaching crafts at a variety of venues for over 10 years as part of her craft business called Curly Girly Crafts. Flatford Mill lies at the heart of the Dedham Vale, on the banks of the River Stour near the Suffolk-Essex border. The Centre buildings, particularly the Mill and Willy Lott’s House, are instantly recognisable since they feature in many paintings by John Constable. The rich mosaic of lowland landscapes, wildlife habitats and places of historic interest are all reflected in our extensive programme of courses.
The Centre is located between Colchester and Ipswich and is about 10 miles from each, approximately 2 miles from the A12.
