Enamel Pendant & Beaded Necklace Workshop

About the Course

This workshop is suitable for those who have never enamelled before, and also for those who want to try different techniques.

Enamelling is the application of powdered vitreous enamel glass to metal and fired in a kiln. Different techniques are available to try, including sifting, screen printing or stenciling, embedding decorative media, wet packing and sgraffito. Not all of these will be able to be covered in one session, a brief discussion at the beginning will enable us to decide which project to follow.

Teresa will demonstrate and guide you through the processes involved.

There are a large choice of different copper shapes to select from, and you will be able to produce one or more enamelled pendants.

After a lunch break, you will select beads to complement your pendant and will complete the project by using basic jewellery techniques that Teresa will guide you through.

Children above the age of 14 are welcome, however a paying adult must be present to help with kiln and other health and safety aspects.

We are currently only allowing 2 people per session and adhering to strict social distancing measures.

If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
