Ideal for students who are looking at making a portfolio for college or university. Come to enjoy some extra creativity at the end of your school day. In this class, we will expand your drawing skills using a variety of materials and methods, working from a different subject each week.
The class is fun; you will gain confidence and get some great results. This is suitable for those working towards GCSE and 'A' levels as well as those wanting to add to their folios in preparation for interview to college or university.
Using a different subject each week we will look at scale, proportion, perspective, light and dark, form, composition etc.
Week 1 – Freeing up your drawing - pencil
Week 2 – Playing with textures – pencil and acrylic paint
Week 3 – Negative/Positive space - charcoal
Week 4 – Putting humour into drawings – colour pastel
Week 5 – Investigating mirror images – colour pencils
Week 6 – Experimenting - Pen and Ink
Week 7 – Play like Picasso - Collage
Week 8 – Puzzling over Perspective – pencils, but no rulers!
Week 9 – Playing with colour – coloured paper and scissors
Week 10 - Movement and People – pencil/pen
