Raya is an outstanding teacher and a very talented artist. Her unique teaching techniques, patience and encouragement helped me to learn the basics of watercolour painting. Raya's watercolour classes opened a amazing world of watercolour painting for me with numerous colour nuances, textures and effects. Thanks to Raya's classes I fell in love with watercolour painting and look forward to every art class with Raya. I highly recommend Raya's watercolour courses.
I have just completed a 10 week online course on Foundation Art Level 1 with Raya Brown and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having done very little art work since my schooldays many years ago, I started to do some from a ‘teach yourself how to draw book’ during Lockdown and got the bug to do more. A friend recommended Raya’s courses so I signed up. It was a very absorbing course, hard work at times but I learnt a great deal and didn’t notice the time fly in the process. We covered lots of basic things from artistic techniques to the use of different materials and some art history too. Raya is an encouraging and enthusiastic teacher, she provides opportunities for all abilities to stretch themselves and she’s always cheerful and kind. How do you manage to keep up such positivity and patience Raya?! Without any reservation I highly recommend her courses.
Thank you so much for your fantastic teaching skills Raya. I could never have imagined I could do the portraits I’ve done without your patience, guidance and support. I Am looking forward to continuing to learn with your guidance.
I also want to thank you for your wonderful teaching. I cant quite believe how much confidence you have given me to have a go such an advancement from my very rudimentary art experience. I am really looking forward to your next course and to learning more.
The amazing thing about Raya's classes is that each time she presents a new piece of work, I think 'There's no way I can do that". But by the end of the class, with her great guidance and explanations of how to execute it, I have produced a piece of work I am really happy with. I really recommend her classes.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Ros,
Many thanks for being such a great teacher and for your support, encouragement and constructive feedback; I enjoyed the course and think my work developed above my own expectations.
I look forward to my next course with you.
I can’t believe we are coming to the end of this course. The time goes by so quickly and, once again, we have learned so much. You really are a brilliant teacher!
I look forward to the next Level Landscape course with you, Raya.
Fantastic course with a talented artist and an expert art tutor Raya Brown.
I highly recommend Raya's watercolour course. It is very enjoyable, informative and creative! I look forward to more art courses with Raya Brown.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Rosalind,
One of the best art courses I have done! Raya is a great tutor as well as an inspirational artist. She explained everything so well and following her structured expert tuition I managed to understand some watercolour techniques - wet-in-wet and wet on dry. I am beginning to feel more confident using watercolour . I have produced some landscapes and floral paintings that I am very pleased with. I am looking forward to continuing my watercolour studies with Raya. Highly recommend her course.
I would like to thank you for a really interesting and a course full of colour magic. You certainly have made me start looking at things with colour in mind instead of just ‘black and white’ so to speak.
I really enjoyed this beginners course on-line zoom course by Raya. I was a little unsure what to expect as I have never been on Zoom before to learn art. Raya reassured me with her skills and techniques which made my confidence grow week by week. I was never even comfortable using a computer never mind trying to learn art online. Raya's teaching techniques via Zoom were brilliant and it helped me gain confidence around using my laptop and learning the basics of drawing. The course was amazing and it helped me to find the inner artist within myself. Using Raya's expertise I gained knowledge of traditional foundation skills in drawing.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Brian,
Thank you so much for the excellent art course which taught me the basics of Art. I gained a lot more confidence to draw from observation and my art skills definitely improved. I am so grateful for your expert guidance, inspiration and support. Also thank you for the detailed feedback which helped me to develop my skills. I am looking forward to the next art courses with you. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn how to draw but does not know where to start.
I really enjoyed the online landscape course. It was always my dream to learn the art of landscape. Raya's course allowed me to learn landscape painting and drawing in depth. I especially enjoyed learning mixed media techniques and observational drawings of trees. I created a final piece a landscape which was an unique work. Raya's guidance helped me to work on it's composition and develop my own artistic style. Now my picture is hanging on my living room wall and I'm really proud of it. Thank you Raya...
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Karen,

Raya is a top-notch art teacher and her classes have a good blend of theory and practice. I am on my third online course with her and have made incredible progress, thanks to her teaching, encouragement and patience.
What a fantastic online course ! I loved it so much. I has discovered my passion - painting with soft pastels! It is such an enjoyable, vibrant medium and very forgiving! Raya gave us a great introduction into various pastel techniques and guided us through exploration of different pastel papers and types of pastels. It was great fun as well as informative learning experience! I have created some beautiful landscapes and floral compositions as well as animal portraits with pastels! I can't wait to do more courses with Raya. Thank you so much!
Brilliant watercolour course and I have enjoyed Raya's passion and energy. She is very talented and has given me new skills to continue my art journey. I feel more confident now after attending Raya's water colour course at her Magic Wool Studio and I will recommend her art courses to my friends.

I have been enjoying your interactive online Portrait art courses.
Your classes are fun and interesting but also offer a path to challenge and improve upon our existing abilities and experience levels.
I have learnt a lot about art history, anatomy and various techniques and improved my drawing skills a lot.
Thank you for your valuable feedback every lesson which helped me progress much faster.
I would recommend your art classes to anyone.
I attended Raya's excellent Introduction to Portrait Course online. While I had done some painting, I didn't have a lot of drawing experience. Raya patiently & expertly taught us to use pencils, charcoal, pastels and more. I learnt so much about drawing, proportions, capturing expression and tonality. A fantastic course with a great teacher, would happily recommend it and I've signed up for the intermediate course now. Can't wait!
Best thing I’ve done Raya Brown! So grateful for your tuition, encouragement and guidance. Can’t wait for the next course. Many thanks and gratitude.
I have not long finished the online Introduction to Portraiture course with Raya and I have thoroughly enjoyed the classes. Raya is the most wonderful teacher; the classes are well organised and Raya is so patient and encouraging. I've tried lots of mediums from charcoal to pastels in this course and it's increased my confidence no end. I can't wait to start the intermediate class!
Thank you Raya for reigniting my love of portraiture and drawing. Your help and encouragement enabled me to look at various areas of a portrait with fresh eyes, to concentrate and continue exploring the human face. I am very grateful to you.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Gill,
Have just finished the Introduction to Portraits course online. I can say that Raya is a truly inspirational tutor! - she encourages you all the way and is also good making constructive comments to improve your drawing. The course also gave me a lot of new experiences using charcoal, chalk pastels, pencils & crayons. I was also impressed with the way that she arranged the sessions on Zoom - clear demonstrations, clear guidance and great recordings to go over techniques etc. I will definitely start some sketching and visit some portrait galleries after lockdown. You never stop learning
Definitely recommend Raya's classes both on line and in her studio. I have just completed the online Introduction to Portrait course and enrolled onto the Intermediate level Portrait course. I have learnt such a lot from the courses I have done. Her classes are well prepared and her feedback constructive. She has a wonderful ability both in her teaching and encouraging you to try. Looking forward to the next online Portrait course starting in April.
Had a wonderful time making our wool paintings, Raya is a great teacher who explains each step of the process clearly and creates a relaxed atmosphere for the course. It was alot of fun and the results were quite impressive for absolute beginners!

The kit for the sunset painting in wool course is excellent - full of everything you need with really easy instructions and everything ready to go with the tutors excellent instruction. So good I've signed up for another. definitely recommend this!
Fantastic course with a really talented teacher who is extremely clever at getting the best from her students. I took the first course and have not looked back! If you think you can't draw and paint let Raya prove you wrong...she did me
What a great kit. I really enjoyed using it at Raya's online wool painting course with live tuition. There were so many colourful fibres, a lovely frame and instructions with photographs that made it inspirational, easy and enjoyable to learn a new art and craft of wool painting. Thank you very much Raya. I am going to order another wool painting kit from you to give it to my mother for Mother's day.
Such wonderful 10 weeks! This is great course for absolute beginners who would like to learn how to draw. I feel that my skills advanced every week. The course touches on Art history, Art theory with a strong emphasis on practical skills. Well structured classes with expert tuition by artist Raya Brown. Thank you. I would recommend the course to every beginner in Art.
I attended the online Watercolour Christmas Card session ran by Raya Brown of the Magic Wool Studios. It was a really enjoyable day. A lovely group of people, Raya is a wonderful teacher. I think I might finally be getting to grips with watercolour.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Thank you very much for your review.
Fundamental Art Skill course was very enjoyable and informative. I gained strong foundation skills in drawing and using different materials. The course covered many areas - starting from simple forms to flowers and landscapes and I am so proud of my art work that I produced. Raya is a very helpful tutor who gave us very useful feedback on every piece of art work we produced, inspired and encouraged us. Her Powerpoint presentations included in the course helped to develop our understanding of art and broadened our horizons on artists' work. I would recommend this course to any beginner in Art.
Really enjoyable day . I learned loads of new skills which I will be able to use again and again. Would thoroughly recommended
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Zoe,
Thank you for a great online zoom art course. I was absolute beginner in Art and had no confidence. Your Fundamental Art Skill course helped me learn basics of art and get a great foundation for developing my art skills further. I am not more confident to create my own work and have good knowledge using coloured pencils, pastels and drawing pencils. I loved working from direct observation and now continuing drawing from real life. (You will be happy to know). Thank you very much again. I would recommend this course for complete beginners in Art.
The Fundamental art skills was an excellent course. Raya is a lovely, encouraging teacher.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Clare,
I found the10 week introduction to portrait course on Zoom helped me develop my skills and built my confidence. Raya is very encouraging and a lovely teacher.

Another fabulous Zoom class with Raya . Having done an earlier one, I was so pleased with it i decided to book another very quickly.
Raya is a really good tutor and she explains and shows every step very clearly. The kits come well packed and secure and with full pictures and instructions
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Sandra,
I've just completed a 10 week online Portrait class ran via Zoom by Raya Brown. I've always wanted to be able to draw portraits, so I was very excited to join the class. The session via Zoom were very well prepared, we could see live demonstrations from Raya over Zoom and relate easily with other class members. It was a really good experience. The classes themselves were totally absorbing, we learnt skills and techniques in drawing portraits using pencils, chalks, charcoal and fine liner. It was great fun.
Raya will be running an intermediate Portrait drawing class soon which I joined. I would fully recommend all of her classes, the online classes and the face to face classes in her studio.
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed using the'Sunset' wool painting kit and learning a new skill of painting with wool fibres! The kits was carefully packed and contained lots of colourful and soft merino wool fibers as well as silks, fabric and a lovely frame.
I discovered a new way of using fibres! I also attended the zoom interactive Sunset wool painting course which helped me to use the kit and inspired me to create more beautiful 'wool watercolours'. The experienced tutor Raya Brown took us through each stage of wool painting patiently explaining and demonstration the technique and helping every student. Thank you very much, Raya, for your kit and lovely online course. I look forward to the next wool painting course with you.
I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you so much for your virtual Poppy Field wool painting tuition today. We have used the above kit that you carefully packed and posted to us which had more than enough materials to make a wool painting.
I can safely say this therapeutic workshop was very much enjoyed and I believe the ladies, not least of all me, were very impressed by what they could craft. The age range was 86 years old to 10 years old and I have received really positive feedback about your delivery; you were enthusiastic, didn’t rush, warm and engaging – so it’s a big thank you from Blesma Outreach NI.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Fiona,
I had my class with Raya today, making the Field with Poppies picture and I am so pleased with it. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Raya on Zoom and it was a really nice experience. Raya was so good at her tuition and explanations and demonstrations of all the techniques all through the class. It has made my day today, and I will aim to do more classes with Raya
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Sandra,
I am looking forward to doing this course and developing my skills and knowledge in the Portraiture genre further.
Honestly. Try this I did the beginners class and it was wonderful. Great teaching, lovely people and an oasis from the groundhog day of COVID! You don’t need to be local since it’s zoom, and I would have said a year or two ago that I can’t draw.
Thank you Raya Brown
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Alex,
I'm delighted with the wool painting kit, it arrived safely, well packed and looking just like the description. I know my sister in law will enjoy making it and I would certainly order again
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Sarah,
What a fantastic art and craft of wool painting! I have learnt a new skill using this amazing kit and attending Raya's zoom course (virtually). I am totally addicted to this therapeutic technique working with natural soft merino wool fibres! I would recommend this course and kit to everyone! What a great way to relax and crate a beautiful wool fibre picture. Thank you Raya. I will see you soon at your 'Sunset' wool painting zoom course.
I received the poppy field wool painting kit with all the beautiful merino wool and silk colours. The illustrations and photographs were easy to follow in a sequence of stages. I attended Raya's online interactive Zoom course where Raya supported me by using her techniques creating a lovely colourful picture. I found it really easy as Raya took me through step by step instructions and guidance how to create a poppy field wool painting. I was amazed how much detail and colour you can get using different fibres. I completed the picture on the same day and I was delighted I was going home with a picture that I had created. I will give this picture to my sister for her birthday as she has recently had a new large kitchen fitted with loads of light shinning through showing off the colours of the poppy field wool painting.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Sheila,
I want to share with anyone who was ever told they had no ability with art. Have you ever seen anyone sketching or painting and thought 'that looks relaxing but I couldn't do that'? I can tell you that you are a) right and b) wrong. I've just finished a 10 week zoom class with Raya Brown. Its been really lovely and you'll see some of the things I've done, I've never really drawn before. I was nervous and had no idea where to start, but she is a great teacher and breaks down each part, each week you look at a different element and style and spend a few hours with a lovely group of people, and watch and follow along as she demonstrates.
I first started to be interested about 2 years ago when I was at Gil's and saw the watercolour group - and couldn't make the time - now with lockdown its been possible to do via zoom. Raya does all sorts of classes, I chose portraits and am signed up for the next level one starting in a couple of months. Please share to anyone who you think would be interested - with the Zoom option you don't even need to live nearby ! I am looking forward to the next Intermediate level Portrait course via zoom with Raya starting in October.
The service was excellent, my order came within two days. I brought the wool painting art kit for a family member as a gift, I'm sure they will love it when they open it.
The website is really good there are so many courses I would love to try, when things get back to normal.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Jane,
My husband bought the Sunset In Wool Painting Kit which I did online over the weekend. What a fantastic present creating this picture online with Raya's. It was so therapeutic, relaxing and having a great time with people I haven't met before. I lacked confidence in the very beginning but as the day went on I became confident using Raya's unique teaching methods. I would recommend this course to anyone and I have mentioned this to my sister as she is a keen on Arts and Crafts.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Kate,
I have greatly enjoyed attending four of Raya's courses through remote Zoom sessions and in-situ lessons: Fundamental Art Skills; Birds and Natural Form; Fun with Watercolour and Introduction to Portrait. I feel my art skill level and confidence has grown under Raya's expert tutelage; I have produced work that I would not have imagined I would have been capable of before I joined Raya's classes.
Raya is an experienced artist and art teacher; she has an intuitive ability to see exactly what needs to be done to improve; she delivers expert practical demonstrations and gives helpful and invaluable advice in a gentle and encouraging manner. She consistently exudes positivity, enthusiasm and encouragement for all of her students. I look forward to joining future courses with Raya.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear John
I have attended Raya's online live tuition Watercolour Course and I have enjoyed every moment of jokes and laughs with the online Zoom. Raya is an amazing teacher and she has encouraged and supported me every week to become confident using watercolours and finding my inner artist. I have produced some experimental watercolours following Raya's clear online demonstrations and learnt different watercolour techniques and styles of work. Online tuition allows me to interact with different people in my own home without having to drive and rush around to get to Raya's workshop during peak traffic times. I would like to say thanks to Raya and I would recommend this course to anyone.
I very much enjoyed this course and I think its relaxed nature has helped me to develop my skills in watercolour painting.
I must say that I much prefer classes via Zoom. I feel as though I get more out of them. I would much prefer classes over Zoom even without the pandemic. I think, Raya, you have developed a great teaching method using Zoom. As you heard in all of our classes, we all very much enjoy your online classes. So, I am hoping they will stay.
I’d like another watercolour class. The 5 week stretch was nice, it gives us a bit of break in the middle, but I would be happy to join a 10 week class too.
Thank you very much!
Inspirational course with expert tuition. I have progressed so much during this course and feel a lot more confident in use of watercolours. Thank you Raya, for your help and guidance and generous share of your expertise with us. Look forward to doing the Advanced watercolour course with you. Also I have enjoyed some online interactive art classes via zoo with Raya which I totally recommend.
I am currently attending the Watercolour course for complete beginners at Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio and I am enjoying it enormously. I am so lucky to have found such a great tutor, Raya Brown, who is knowledgeable, patient and helpful. She is also a very talented watercolour artist who inspires us with her work.
Raya teaches us the very basics of watercolour and guides us through various techniques, materials and methods of painting. We also improve our drawing skills which help us to succeed with learning watercolour. So far I have produced a painting of poppy fields, a landscape with a sunset using wet-in -wet technique and some paintings and drawings of fruit. I am very pleased with my results. Thank you very much Raya!
Raya created a course which was pitched perfectly! There are always going to be students at different levels whatever the subject and setting the course to ensure they all get the tutoring, encouragement and help they need is a balancing act.
Our class was a mixture of absolute beginners, some who had dabbled like myself but not had formal teaching, and some who had attended courses elsewhere previously. I think the pace was adapted with care to allow for more/less teaching on subjects dependent upon the understanding of each student, but without having a detrimental effect on any one student's progress.
I believe Raya achieved the course she had planned so carefully. She ensured everyone obtained the foundation of drawing, seeing and looking and from the groundwork we can all continue.
Thank you Raya!
Raya Brown is a inspirational teacher and a talented Artist. I just can not believe how far I have come in just a few weeks. I just love coming to her classes each week. She takes you from the basics of drawing through to using layers of colour to create tone when drawing from life. I feel as if she has made my life so much more interesting than it ever was. Thank you Raya.
Raya has all the best qualities as a tutor and a person. This course has been magically put together with the skills Raya will pass onto you all coming together towards the end. You will be surprised how much you have learnt in such a short space of time. Raya's method of teaching is fun and relaxed yet structured and I have nothing but admiration for her obvious skills as an artist of many years and her warmth as a person. Many thanks Raya
I can not believe how far I have come in just a few weeks. Raya Brown not only is a brilliant tutor she is a talented Artist in her own right. I feel really lucky in coming across this fabulous Magic Wool Art and Craft studio in Worcestershire!
I have been taking part in this course...Raya Brown is a fantastically encouraging, informative and knowledgeable tutor who knows how to teach! I had dabbled with watercolour and thought perhaps it might be too basic, but I could not have been more wrong!! The first lesson gave me a real appreciation for "how to draw with a pencil" and since then we have used many mediums including pastels, charcoal, coloured pencils and next week watercolour. I realise how much I DID NOT KNOW!! I have learnt so much and the process has been enjoyable not a chore. I have even enjoyed doing my homework!!!
If you at all interested in art take the opportunity to take part in this course you will not be disappointed !
Well done Raya Brown...I will be sad when the course finishes but looking forward to perhaps a summer school, landscape week and oooh painting/drawing holidays!!!
I’ve had such a fantastic time on the Fundamental Art Skills course and recommend to anyone who loves to draw but perhaps missed out on learning the basic skills. I really look forward to Raya’s class each week: she is a fantastic teacher; always encouraging, patient and inspiring. Thank you so so much. 💖
If you are interested in art and want to try it for yourself I cannot recommend this course highly enough! Raya Brown is knowledgeable, encouraging and a brilliant, intuitive teacher. I have learnt so much in just 7 weeks and another 7 to go....you learn the basics and although some may find that tedious there is no way you can draw or paint anything believable without it. Spheres to mugs, tin cans to flowers they may seem random but they teach you to really SEE shapes! Colours will never look the same again and green will never just be green! I am hoping Raya will do a further course to continue building on our skills and perhaps even special courses such as landscapes, flowers or animals. I am addicted to drawing Thanks to Raya Brown
I am currently attending the Fundamental Art Course with Raya Brown. She is so encouraging and has a great deal of patience! She explains techniques in an easily understood manner and makes each lesson a pleasure...you leave feeling a sense of achievement and looking forward to the next one! Practice at home is now addictive for me! I have also been to several Wool Painting workshops with Raya Brown and these have been fantastic also....a new hobby! Continue doing what you are doing Raya Brown!
First lesson today! So excited! Started Fundamental Art Skills Course with Raya.......who knew there was so much to know about art equipment!? Who knew you could make so many different marks with a pencil showing movement, anger, passion, sensitivity, form, tone, etc? I will never call a pencil “just a pencil” again!
This is the information everyone should be taught when beginning an art course .....so why have I never been shown?
My favourite part of the lesson was releasing my “inner child” to enjoy and be free on paper!
Bring on lesson TWO, but in the meantime for just a few minutes every day I will make lines……...😀
Thank you for an enjoyable first art class and welcoming us so warmly into your home. I thought your teaching was excellent and pitched perfectly. You gave us confidence to “have a go”. A lovely atmosphere with a lovely group of people.
I look forward to seeing you next week.
Raya is a knowledgeable tutor who is incredibly generous with her time and attention. Her encouraging and enthusiastic style of teaching is inspiring. Raya gives clear step-by-step instructions to help every beginner to progress at their own pace and enjoy their learning experience. I would recommend this course to every beginner.
This is such a great idea! Fantastic assistance course for Art and Craft enthusiasts! Raya is a very knowledgeable, patient and helpful Tutor. She gives clear step by step instructions and her teaching to tailored to individual student's needs. Her traditional approach to teaching is an asset to the British Art Education System. I highly recommend this course to everyone who would like to study Art in-depth.
WOW! What a fantastic day! Wool Painting…...something I had never come across and which was neither painting on wool or felting!! A wonderful day with Raya learning how to paint with fibres. Initially intrigued by the idea of painting wool I soon realised it was far more. We brought together beautiful coloured wool and silk fibres to “paint” a picture. A relaxing, therapeutic and all immersing craft which produces the effect of watercolour without paint. Raya was informative and knowledgeable with a real flare for imparting her gift to others. A lovely atmosphere resulting in creativity beyond our expectations leaving us desperate for more!
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Tracey,
Lovely day! Thank you so much, Raya. You are a very good teacher, generous with your time and expertise. I thought you were brilliant in dealing with different levels of experience in the group.
It was very impressive the way you managed to coach complete beginners to an excellent result. And it was all fun!
A totally different experience to the one I had anticipated but it was a thoroughly inspiring day with a knowledgeable teacher. I never imagined painting with wool fibres was possible. The finished paintings are truely amazing. A highly recommendable workshop.
Response from Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio:Dear Sue
What a treat last Sunday's workshop was. I am so happy with what I achieved! My wool painting of poppy fields looks so professional. I am taking it to my daughter who lives in California to remind her of home. I know she will love it. I have already ordered some wool tops so I can continue this beautiful art form. Thank you for your inspiration, Raya
Thank you Raya for a wonderful day last Sunday, I really enjoyed the wool painting class, your tuition and guidance was first rate, whilst in a welcoming, relaxed and fun environment. I was so chuffed with my finished picture and learnt lots of new skills. I will definitely be booking another class in the future.
Fabulous day - very therapeutic process. Not what I was expecting at all!
Great teacher - patient and inspiring. We all finished our pictures and everyone overjoyed with the results. Our wool paintings all looked so different. We will invite Raya again to our group to teach us felt making. Looking forward to your next class, Raya. Thank you very much.
I had an amazing day learning heaps of new techniques and crafting a wool painting I'm really proud of. Raya is friendly and helpful and oozes creative knowledge. I would recommend her classes to anyone.
A wonderful day: very generous facilitation from Raya and warmly inclusive experiential day with a finished piece or nearly finished to take home. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for today I absolutely loved
making my cottage and garden wool painting.
My new hobby! Hope to see you again soon.
A fantastic workshop! So clearly explained and well paced. Great advice given all through. It was so nice to have a finished item to be proud of to take home. I will definitely make another wool painting.
Did not know what to expect but Raya soon made everyone feel at home and we were quickly to work on our creations. Raya is an excellent teacher, engaging and encouraging and provides an excellent choice of wool and frames for use on the course. It was fascinating to see how the pictures evolved throughout the day and lovely to take something beautiful home as a memento. Highly recommended by someone who was a complete beginner!
I enjoyed the day very much learning a new technique working with wool. It was very relaxing and inspiring. I am a complete beginner in wool painting and Raya took her time to show and explain every step. I had lots of support and encouragement and created a lovely wool painting which I am so proud of. I am definitely coming back for more workshops at Magic Wool Studio. Thank you, Raya.
I had a great day with Raya at her Magic Wool Studio. I have learnt a Magic Technique of creating a painting with wool fibres. I had never heard about wool painting before the course. I loved it. Raya inspired me so much to make more and more wool paintings. Fantastic experience. Would recommend it to anyone.
I attended a wool painting course with Raya Brown in Kidderminster. I really enjoyed exploring merino wool fibres and creating a fibre picture using Raya's methods and techniques. Raya as encouraging and made me, as a beginner, feel at ease. Raya is a practicing artist. Her lovely work was displayed in the studio and inspired me. I feel very proud of my wool painting that I created at course. I would definitely recommend this workshop to others.
Wonderful workshop! I am so thrilled with the picture I created. Raya is marvelous teacher, so creative and inspiring. Karen
I have had a wonderful day! Raya is welcoming, warm and encouraging . With her guidance I managed to create a painting that I am so proud of. Thank you, Raya.
Thoroughly enjoyable day. Friendly welcome, excellent tuition for a total novice with no previous art/craft experience + those with experience. Well structured, great pace. I am totally amazed by what can be created in such short time. Thank you!
I enjoyed the course and took away a wool painting I created. Raya is a professional artist who has gathered a wealth of skills working with wool and loves sharing her experience with her students. My wife couldn't believe what I had achieved on my first ever wool painting course using Raya's techniques. It has inspired my wife to book a wool painting workshop with her friend. I thought the course was very relaxing and I would recommend this course to anyone.
A thoroughly absorbing workshop. I had never worked with wool before and I had not appreciated what a flexible medium it is. Using fibres in a creative landscape and blending the colours was both both exciting and refreshing with an amazing and colourful outcome. Raya’s patience and skill in demonstrating and teaching was much appreciated. Thank you. John.
